Black World Tendency Events

Black World Tendency increases enemy capacity to inflict damage and number of souls available. It also yields better item drops, especially for ore. Black Phantom versions of normal enemies have a 100% drop rate for their primary items.

If you want to maintain an already attained Pure Black World Tendency in a world, you must not visit the Nexus after defeating a boss, a Primeval Demon or a Black Phantom NPC. Additionally, World Tendency drifts toward the Global Server Tendency whenever you log on. That means that Pure White or Pure Black worlds will be shifted just by logging on online mode.

All Primeval Demons shows up before before Pure Black, but they are still present at Pure Black World Tendency.

All unique NPC Black Phantoms require Pure Black World Tendency to appear.

Black World Tendency Events in Latria

In Latria it is impossible to go from 3-2 back to 3-1, without going by the Nexus. Most players will want to defeat both the NPC Black Phantom and the Primeval Demon in one go, to avoid achieving Black World Tendency more than once. It is therefore advisable to start from 3-1 and take out Black Phantom Lord Rydell first, then move into 3-2 to deal with the Primeval Demon.
