Gameplay tips and progression |
General Tips: On your First playthrough don' t spend your storm king's Soul for the morion Blade, PvE:Tipps: Be extremly carefull, if you Rush into a Room like a Against Most Bosses the following tactic should work: equip the thief''s Ring and the insanity catalyst sneak behind them; cast firesstorm and watch them die PvP Tipps: |
Glass Canon
Excuse my mistake: you don't Need
Storm Kings for sc so get morion blade in ng.
Hmm. I don't approve of Glass Cannon Mages. Unless you jump or get lucky with a Hyper Mode spell, you won't do very well in PvP. Though, if you're set on this, I could give you some tips.
Don't use an ICat. If you're going to leave most of your stats at base, use the spare points to get Magic and Faith to 50 and use a ToB. May as well leave Endurance at base; you can equip all of your neccessary weapons and the Venerable Sage's Armor at 9 Endurance, and leveling Endurance to equip better armor will not help you at all with base Vitality. You could probably go naked and it wouldn't make any difference. If you do happen to have points left over after all that…might as well add them to Intelligence. It's pretty useless after 40, but there's nowhere else to put them.
My primary suggestion would be to consider a regular Mage, or pump Vitality to make better use of Hyper Mode. I doubt you'll make it very far with this build in high-level PvP. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it's the truth :(

Ask my anything. About Magic, that is.
The high endurance isn't taken for equip Weight, but form stamina.
And for pvp it's quite effective and i have Lost only 1 Time yet(i've Done about 100 Matches with this Build). Not many People try to Be aggressive against a Soul ray that Hits for 1600.And at the moment he's at Level 120.
You shouldn't need more stamina; my Pure Mage has 9 Endurance, and that's plenty enough to dodge effectively if you don't roll-spam.
Ok then. Well, if you're doing well, no reason to listen to what I say ^_^ If it's not broken, don't fix it. I really would recommend switching to a Pushed ToB though; it will outdamage the ICat at high levels and let you keep all of your MP.

Ok thanks for the Tipps i'll try them out
And by the way i myself also prefer spellswords but this was was Fun to try out your
And i really liked your spellsword Build. I expect it to Be the Most dangerous Build for a
Glass Canon due to his ability to Adept its fighting style that fast. My First real Build was a bbs Build and this Build had the Sole purpose for to Hunt down Every last katana user As Most of them are extremly aggressive and die trough firestorm:-)
A better glass cannon would be a pushed ToB with focused only on damage with 40 INT at most. You will deal as much or more damage than the iCat without the mana penalty. Also, i have found Storm Ruler to be extremely useful for every build… the knockback is amazing, especially for healing/rebuffing SC/replenishing mana.
I still don't understand the glass cannon, like why is it called that lol?
