Recommended equipment	RH1: Winged Spear (Upgrade w/ Basic} RH2: Compound Longbow (Upgrade however you prefer) LH1: Tower Shield (Upgrade as much as possible) LH2: Talisman of Beast Ring 1: Ring of Great Strength Ring 2: Regenerators Ring Soul Form: Swap out the RR for Cling ring Brushwood, Gloom, or Dark Silver depending on your circumstance or personal preference

Gameplay tips and progression	You can choose either character, but I prefer Knight because he starts with Fluted. Zip through 1-1, collecting the Purple Flame Shield for a good heavy shield at the beginning, the cling ring, and the Ring of Great Strength, then go to 4-1. Get your Compound Longbow, Regenerators Ring, and then kill the adjucator if you feel confident for the large amount of souls. Get 22 in STR for the ability to use the PFS as soon as possible and get 12 in DEX since the Knight doesn't start out with that. Then go to 1-2 and retrieve the winged spear if you haven't already got one from a drop. Kill the Tower Knight and keep his DS for warding. Then kill whatever archdemon you think you can get to the fastest and immediately go to 1-3 for your tower shield. Please comment if you see anything that could be improved on this build.

i know you said uber soldier but the tower shield is too much. it is too heavy and you need too much strength. plus you cant get one til later in the game. i suggest early game kite, pfs, or steel. late game if you want to change shields dss or knights.

this way you can decrease your strength a bit and increase dex. which is overall more useful. and you can also make quality weapons which arent hard to make and are awesome. (personal preference claymore)

also get rid of the reg ring. swap it in if you want to wait around and not use grass. use thief ring instead it is much more useful. without it the game is much much harder. regardless of how you build your character.

also more weapon choices. for your first playthrough for basic fun personally i like to change things up. meat cleaver is fun. some uchi is alot of fun. pick up the dragon longsword. very useful for some levels. pick up crescent falchion. hits decent damage and is real fast. this is uber soldier and no extra large sword? c'mon, hows abouts the dragon bone smasher or the great sword. this game is all about finding different items and weapons and using them accordingly. playing through the game with the same weapons is boring.
