Gameplay tips and progression |
First of all…dexterity must be 30 the most..the bonus you get from sharp +5 until 30 is 3-7.. |
IMPROVED LIGHT WEAPON BUILD
the hiltless does more damage than the sharp uchi, so that should be in your arsenal.
yes bro..true..but 3% penalty dmg on each hit is too much i think..
for those that are little confused about the stats..
vitality:40(cause 40 is preety good to have a decent life to absorb many hits till die)
intelligence:24(so you can have warding and light weapon without using the magic nature ring)
endurance:40(top level.after that each raise in edurance stamina is not raise..at 40 stamina is at top=160)
strength:18(so you can use uchi if you like playing dual katanas)
dex:30(tha hard part to uderstand it..lets begin.for each increase of dex by one till you get 30 you get 3-7 attack power to weapon in the case of course at sometime you will upgrade your weapon to sharp+5.it doesnt matter if you do it at the very beggining or at 120 sl..you will still get the bonus.so..if you raise dex by one from 30 and after you will get 2 points to attack..that is not wise..what you have to do..is go to 30..suck all your tera bonus you can get and then raise magic..the reason is simple..for each increase of magic by one you get 2 points when you use light weapon..the same you get if you raise dex after 30..but..you wont buff light weapon with simple catalyst..but with insanity..and the true attack bonus that will be added with each increase of magic is 4-5..so..you see the difference why you must leave dex to 30 and raise magic..
cause with each raise of magic when you leave dex to 30 you will gain 2-3 attack power more when you will use light weapon.
magic:25(i made it clear)
faith:16(so you can use second chance)
luck:7(just leave it there)
i didnt write the rings you must have..
so..
blue phantom form:cling ring, eternal warriors ring or friends ring.i strongly reccomend eternals warriors ring..you can use both if you want and you can dodge attacks
black phantom:cling ring, eternaL warriors ring or foes ring,i strongly reccomend eternals warriors ring, you can use both if you want and you can dodge attacks
human form:eternas warriors ring-anything of your choice(dull ring i prefer)
THATS ALL FOLKS.
True, but honestly, i think you will be doing roughly the same damage as a moon Uchi anyway… Maybe this would better be suited for higher level PvP?? And the 3% hp penalty isn't all that much if you make each hit count. Overall, it is a good idea, but i don't think it's very feasible for such a low level. Go up to SL 170+ and this becomes threatening, but like i said, Moon weapons will probably do similar damage and require less stats for it…
170 level is too much my friend..hardcore pvpers just stay around 120…
just give it a try..it worths it..
I'm making essentially the same build with my first character (SL 98 so far), and I intend to PVP quite a bit on that character. The only real difference between your setup and my own is I put 5 more into magic to boost LW by 25 more damage (it gives 243 damage buff with the IC at 30 magic), and I am stopping at just 18 INT, and drop the warding for now (I might pick it up later to make it SL 125). One thing I've learned in my testing that I didn't see posted anywhere is that LW gives the same bonus to damage regardless of the weapon it's applied to… meaning daggers and faster weapons benefit more than slower ones.
My planned arsenal will include:
Sharp Uchi +5
Sharp Kilij +5
Sharp Secret Dagger +5
Sharp War Schthe +5
In addition to the usual gear (rings, armor, etc).
(+1) from me.
[edit: Note that I tried the above spec for a while and got really bored with it, so I'm going for a Moon Knight spec now… since I got really bored with using the Kilij & Uchi; and the Secret Dagger was just way too short range to be competitive in PVP, so I switched to a BBS sort of variant, and found it to be hideously boring, so now I want to be able to use the Moon Claymore & Moon Great Axe now]
As I already posted on other dex mag builds, LW is most effective on fast weapons as mentioned above, and weapons that already have magical damage, namely the BBS and MC. Faith builds will prove this build relatively weak, especially with warding and the DSS on their back. Attack ratings are misleading. Take. A moon weapon and a sharp weapon against a foe with equal defense against physical and magical damage will demonstrate this. The moon weapon does less damage than the sharp weapon because you take two defense stats into account instead of one. The bbs is good with light weapon because it already deals a fair amount of magical damage unbuffed, so probably 70+% of their damage output is magical after considering the opponent's defense stats.
