Gameplay tips and progression |
You will need alot of strength to make this a worth while class and endurance to do multiple hits. this is a hard class to use but the heavy weapons make it faster to kill enemy's and some bosses like the meat cleaver works great on the man-eaters. it is also good to dual wield your heavy weapons to add a strength bonus and if you are going to use a smaller weapon upgrade it to crushing asap for the added strength bonus |
Iron Vanguard
Dude, this is not a high STR, high VIT build. "High" means greater than or equal to 50. This build is designed toward the meat cleaver, and being my favorite weapon, i know a thing or two about it. It is slow, so you need to expect constant backstabs from skilled players. With only 30 VIT, you probably won't live through one without SC. If you want to survive in PvP, you'll want 40-50 VIT.
Next, your best starting class is temple knight because of the low MAG, 2nd best being knight.
20 FTH is useless, up it to 24 (3 miracle slots) or lower it to 16 (2 miracle slots).
I would recommend 18 INT for Curse weapon, as that significantly increases your damage output.
Use a light armor, heavy ones have a stamina penalty that will spell doom with your heavy weapons. Any damage you nullify with heavy armor is exceeded by the damage you receive from a lack of speed.
The Dozer does not do near as much damage as the MC with the same moveset and shorter range, please don't use it.
Don't use the ring of great strength, it's useless for just about any build.
Heal is mediocre, use Recover and you completely replenish your hp.
The Brushwood shield is good, but is useless against magic damage, heavy, and barely better than the PFS (which doesn't require colourless demon's souls).
List your desired soul level goal for this build and its purpose. Is it for normal playthroughs or online battles?
Have you tested this build? what are its strengths? weaknesses? How do you begin the build?
Answer all of these and you're on the right track.
This build kinda sucks. Demon's Souls is all about mobility. all that stuff you have is WAY to heavy to be using. Once NG+ starts, you are screwed.
