Gameplay tips and progression |
Use warding when facing a Strength, Dexterity, or Quality Build. Warding is also useful when your second chance cracks. The Northern Regilea is used when facing an opponent using warding as it does magic damage. |
I would highly recommend scrapping the NR in this build and use a Crushing Claymore+5 instead in its place. NR has its own build. Claymore has longer range and does decent damage. For the meta version of a strength build with 30 int, my recommended spellsets would be CW and Warding or CW and Death Cloud. If you are concerned about opponents using Warding against you, then just use Sticky White Stuff which is a great back-up for your primary CW spell. Always a good idea to have plenty of SWS and Black Turpentine back-up buffs in case you do not have time to recharge your mana and your CW runs out during a PvP battle. Death Cloud not only reduces stamina recovery and halves healing effects from grass other than Dark Moon from your opponents, it may surprise them and send them scrambling for a widow's lotus or Dark Moon Grass if they don't have it hot-keyed. I would recommend deleveling MAG to 6, DEX to 12, and putting those 8 extra points into STR to boost Crushing Weapon damage by finding a soulsucking partner or starting a new character. Make sure you have plenty of extra souls to rebuild if you go the soulsucking route.
