Homing Soul Arrow is slow and easy to dodge, and overall not very reliable. However it has a big strategic side too it, it forces a dodge, it locates, its powerfull if they mess up, and best of all it shoots by itself, take advantage of these facts.
Push Lock ignite can prove fatal very quickly if u can start it.
Use Storm Ruler to knock down opponents and cast HSA to make it harder too dodge, or ignite/fireball/firestorm to make it nearly impossible to dodge.
Many people like Monks Head Collar and Kriss Blade, however I see it as blinding, too easy to spot, and screams the fact that your a mage. Also as a close range mage you are at a disadvantage against other mages, so you don't want too open your magic defense.
