Gameplay tips and progression |
You might want unequipped somethings so you can roll properly in the beginning. Beat 1-1 make sure to get thief's ring. First get Vit to 15 or whatever health your comfortable with. Then go take down 4-1 get the crescent falchion it will make things easier this is what you will be using until you get the meat cleaver then get Adjudicator's Shield, compound long bow, and Regenerator's Ring equip. Then beat boss for 4-1. Try to level up the requirements for the meat cleaver 26 Strength (18 if you use it 2-handed), 12 Dexterity, and 16 Faith. Then go to 2-1 and 2-2 and beat the bosses so you can make the meat cleaver. Once you can wield the meat cleaver its pretty much up to you on how to get the other equipment for other play styles. you might want to raise your vit to 25-30 then lvl up everything else. |
Meat Cleaver/Tower Shield/Ninja
this looks like it mirror's a quality build for the most part. which isnt bad at all, it makes it very versatile. and i did notice with my q guy that could be a ninja or tower shield user if i want. nothing awful about any of this +1 from me
the sl for your build is actually 117-155 because you forgot to add the 7 points from luck. The meat cleaver is not a good weapon in 1 hand because it is very slow and predictable (and ridiculously easy to parry). Quality setups benefit most from 2 handing weapons, MC included, so you should cap strength at 34 and forget the tower shield altogether to get . Turtles aren't generally very effective once they lose their buff and are easily countered by another shield user (especially with parries and pivot backstabs). One last thing: against MOST opponents, the quality great axe will significantly outdamage the MC because of split-damage penalties. It does have decent curse capability, but light weapon is much stronger on it than curse because the physical AR isn't high enough and you can make full use of the AR instead of just a piece of it. This is a decent setup, but i'm afraid it's no different from a quality build.
if you consider the range of stats that can be put in there… well.
tower shield builds don't benefit from str >30…. quality weapons are only viable 2 handed. what's the point in using the tower shield if the majority of your damage is two handed? none. Right so go with sharp.
Sorry if this sound abrasive i'm on a lot of tylenol trips.
