Blessed Great Axe: Pretty common weapon for faith build. 90% of the attack animation cannot be stopped. Blessed Great Sword: Like the great axe, it is a common weapon for a faith build. Attack animation can be stopped, but has more knockdown power than the great axe.Two Handed! Blessed Guillotine Axe: Awesome roll attack! Pretty deadly if u ask me. Dark Silver Set: Good Magic Defense DSS: Best Magic defense out of all shields. Perfect for battle with mages. If you prefer more hp regen use Adjudicator Shield +5 Eternal Warrior's Ring, Ring Of Great Strength. You can consider raising your dex to 18 so you are able to wield Istarelle. Though I personally wouldn't prefer it you can still use it. I only don't like Istarelle is because it is a spear. And many people use spear with shields, which i hate. |

Gameplay tips and progression |
Some of you may ask why I chose the dark silver set? Well, the DS set has great magic defense, which makes the person excel in battles against mages. Especially with the DSS, you can block the enemies magic attacks. For the physical enemies. The DS set already has decent defense and with the 55 endurance, that can help a lot. With 50 VIT, 55 END, the DS set, and the DSS, you can survive a couple of hits from a normal weapon. Some of you can't decide whether to use Second Chance or Warding. Well, Second Chance can help a lot since my build has a decent amount of VIT. This build was more towards the magic defense side. Warding can help a lot, but I would just advise you to roll! Rolling is essential to almost all builds. Sure you can block some enemies, but if you face someone with a large sword like DBS, your screwed. Most people know how to deal with physical enemies, but magicial enemies. Many people have trouble with these guys because many people think about complete defense, but when they face a mage they finally realize they don't have enough faith to have good magic defense to protect them from a magic attack. STILL MODIFYING |
Garl Vinland Build
Wha'ts the significance of the 60 endurance (not Bramd i hope)? The Brushwood build only has 47 plus Ring of Great Strength.
Also, to take advantage of the Dark Silver armor's superior magic defense wouldn't a faith investment be useful? It would add even more magic defense plus the health regen of blessed weapons to make more of a magical tank, and with so much vitality Second Chance would be a good option as well (warding can still be used against melee enemies).
Couldn't find a bunny with toast, ah well.

It's a Garl Vinland build because… it requires you to wear the Dark Silver set? That's it?
i agree, maybe it isnt all that great overall as is, but can be modified. the high END is prolly to increase fire def, although magic def is significant as well. i took this build out in PvP with a non-berserked berserker mage… with soul ray. I would try something other than DBS because although it adds even more to fire def, it might be better spent on a weapon that is effective at aggressive combos. this build is supposedly hard to kill, but it lacks in attack power, so take some points from str, some from end, and place them in dex to make use of blind or in faith to use LSoM. a build that is hard to penetrate and great at penetration makes for an exceptional PvP build.
for a garl build-2nd badass NPC, Biorr is the first- you need(in this order)

Why are you using Blessed GA on Garl? Why even bother making "Garl" and carrying Bramd in the first place? Same with Hyper gear and Brushwood recommendation, neither are Garl appropriate. Also, you can't roll, neutralizing both your defensive AND offensive (no roll attack) capabilities.)
If you are going to troll all the Garl builds, at least post something better, not worse.
1) garl vinland doesnt use second chance
2) he doesnt use warding
3) he doesnt use blessed weapons
4) he uses the bramd
conclusion- this isnt garl vinland. neutral from me til this atrocity is fixed
First off, lowbacca, Garl Vinland does use Second Chance. While you may hardly or never get the chance to see it, if he does go near the water, backs up towards lady Astrav, He will TRY TO cast Second Chance. .
-Tearsofblood-Guess what buddy? Your stats are not Vinland either. How about that mofo? how old are ya btw? If you are above the age of 17, you're a punk, so shut your trap boy. You like bullying others big baby because you're behind a computer screen.
Never understand how people could be so extremely disgusting in their remarks, especially to people they don't know.
Lord Draco-My man, you are correct. Short sweet, to the point, yet not disrespectful.
I like your build because it's unique, and unlike many players who just like using common builds to do anything FTW as the PVP culture has escalated into just that, especially blues in PWWT of hosts, another Garl Vinland type build IMO, would be as host in the SL 140 arena. Because he does have magic defense, although his weapon doesn't, Garl has a ton of strength to wield that bad boy bramd while high faith. It is why fatal parries, or even in NG, dragon weapons work best(Dark Silver armor is weak to fire)
Because PVP is more common in the SL area of 120-140 to get the most out of a Garl Vinland type build, 140 as host is way to go. Again, just my opinion.
Here are the stats I would recommend:
Starting class-Temple Knight
SL 140
Vit-42
Faith-50
Strength-50
magic-Default
Intelligence-15(so you can cast god's wrath)
Luck-Default
Dex-Default
Endurance-40(use ring of great strength, and eternal warriors. Even with 99 endurance, however, it's impossible to roll quickly with full dark silver and DSS with bramdt.
While even with ring of great strength, I do not believe you will be able to roll with full dark silver set, DSS and Bramdt, at least it may trick opponents who try to break down exact lag, timing, by fat rolling:):)
