HAG's Makoto Build (Sl 125)
Ok its decent enough but you have to understand that you are gaining 350Hp but you are loosing almost half damage compared to a cursed kats/hiltless build. Yes you gain 23% hp, but you will be doing 300 AR while hiltless will be around 340 and uchis 325. That is you will be doing around 55% damage of a cursed hiltless or uchi instead of the3 100%. The small raise of hp does not justify the huge loss of damage. If you use this, main reason will be to use hyper mode, so keep the rings and morion handy.
Makoto is for lower levels period because of dimishing returns. It would make sense using it if with 96 vit you had 3000 hp but diminishing returns take care of that.
A 50 dex build has 351 AR with the hiltless. Cursed, with all shifts in soul form, you can easily deal 500-700 damage per hit. Makoto will only deal about 200-450 depending on armor (and the higher number is probably too high; this is roughly equal to the AR of a tearing uchi anyway). As for the HUGE vitality, it is counterbalanced by the fact that makoto will take a percentage of hp per second, a percentage that may overshadow the regen of the adjudicator's shield and so increase your healing frequency. I'd understand if you only had 50 vitality and used this at a lower level, but you're simply not going to be dealing enough damage to be threatening. As for the dragon great axe, it deals fairly modest damage for a great weapon and, although that is balanced by your vitality, you might not have enough output to be threatening, especially when you're dealing with a dex build. At least Northern Reg has some punch from the high AR, which will always work better than makoto against physical builds and mages. The only useful aspects i see from this weapon are the 600 bleed (which is unreliable against plate armors) and the running stab (easily dodged or hyper-armored through).
Guys, I know that this isnt the strongest build, but it works pretty well. I fight with all builds naked even with this 1 and I won 75-80 % all of my fights. So it just depends also on skill. I actually use my high vit dex with 37 dex - 304 AR and also dont buff, it works perfectly fine, high damage is not all
Cheers
I made a similar build just yesterday with 85 vit and 15 int (SL 120) for invading. I have been using a Secret dagger +10 in my right hand instead of 2nd Makoto and using SWS or black turp for extra damage on pushes. It's pretty decent build however my version lacks the dashing thrust the right hand makoto would provide.
Most victories came from locking enemies in push combos or landing multiple backstabs/parries while the dagger is buffed. Won the majority of my battles as an invader but i'm considering increasing the level and playing as a host.
while I disagree with some of your DS builds(ex: Light knuckes ignite push) I do think you're innovative when it comes to creating specific builds that can be used in a way that test one's skills.
This here, is a perfect example.
Makoto while it does not do a ton of damage per hit, nevertheless, as I've always believes with any weapno that has ailments, it can cause an abrupt end to a fight, when the opponent forgets to cure themselves of bleeding. It adds up(the hits).
Speed, skill in Demon's Souls only goes so far-Dragon Bone Smasher-noob galore regardless of skill. Lock on, lock off, wax on,,,wax off.
You're a good player, I've fought you.
Just get rid of noob galore push lock builds. While I feel uchis do take skill, hene using push combo's during duels is fair game, as much as people say it's difficult to get into a "light knucklesandwich push" it's BS.
Average players know how to spam that baby up. It's a troll build. Why am I mentioning that in relation to this build.
Well, because I like this one, it's legit, and does as you say test one's ability to go up against stronger builds.
By the same token, knuckles, unless blessed, were the worst piece of crap Demon's Souls developers could have invented. IMO-small, weak weapon turned into a gltich, one of many the developers can have a good laugh at, knowing(if they do) that that turned out to be a deadly AS- whooping weapon.
I like whooping AS in PVP. This build takes balls. Congrats.
