  • Stats

The stats can be distributed differently. You can reduce Magic for more Vitality and Endurance but I like to dish out as much magic damage as I can.

Vitality: 45 Vit will not allow you to survive backstabs from NR but anything weaker than that will allow you to retain some HP before your SC is cracked.

Intelligence: 30 gives you 5 spells; Light Weapon, Firespray and Fireball. It also gives you 100 mp (with Icat) for 5 perfect fireballs hehe

Endurance: I used a female and you can equip all the armour and weaponry stated. It is also enough to roll and land a few hits (strictly few hits to avoid spamming)

Strength: Enough to use the estoc

Dexterity: 257 AR with sharp estoc, said to be the bare minimum. Enough for fatal estoc to ohko on backstabs

Magic: 30 mag or 40 mag? was told there was little difference in damage. Anyway, you need high mag for some serious damage.

Faith: For Second Chance

Luck: Never raised

  • Equipment

The sharp estoc is the hardest hitting estoc. Crescent estoc is used as a back up for opponents that use warding and you don't have time to buff. Alternatively, fatal estoc is used as a back up if you want to ohko in backstabs (without opponent using warding).

Insanity Catalyst, although halves your mp (to 100) is powerful to use. Firespray does around 30 dmg which pressures your opponent. Fireball does around 300 damage which quite good when splashing an opponent after wake up.

Talisman of beast is just there to cast Second chance. Nothing more to say

  • Gameplay

1. Cast Second Chance using Talisman of Beast
2. Cast Light Weapon, the AR will be 515 which does 300-ish real damage… more than Cursed estoc (however cursed estoc has superior backstab). It can also OHKO phantoms but unlikely hosts. Spice whenever you need to.
3. Tactics:

  • Passive: Move back and start using firespray, use your estoc to punish mistakes your opponent makes using WR+R1, R1 (don't hit any more than 2 hits because the stunlock will break and your opponent can roll bs you) Remember to dodge well! Use firespray to recover your stamina.
  • Aggressive: Firespray to backstab works sometimes because the opponent worries about the firespray.
  • Backstab punish: if your opponent is whoring backstabs, make a lock-off fireball and place it on either side of you depending which direction your opponent is running towards. A successful hit will allow 2 pokes with your estoc.
  • Wake-up fireball: After you successfully backstabbed, distance yourself a bit and shoot a fireball. I have found that to be more successful then standing next to the opponent and splash a fireball on the ground.
  • Firestoc: The maddest move you'll see. Similar to backstab punish, shoot a fireball in a distance and upon the hit, WR+R1, R1 hehehe

Pros:

  • Kills mages
  • Estoc is fast and has great range
  • Great against turtles
  • Firestoc combo hurts dealing estimate 900 damage
  • Can make you unpredictable with firespray and melee
  • Allows you to be in a more tactical position
  • Improves your stamina management and dodging skills
  • It is fun XD

Cons:

  • Aggressive players pressure you (easy backstab though)
  • Low endurance means you can't spam hits
  • Unless you have a fatal estoc, NR grass spammers are quite annoying
  • Faith builds with ring of flame resistance are good match-ups
