RH1: Moon Winged Spear +5
- This is a major tactical variation and allows for longer range, more defense, and still great power.

RH2: Talisman of Beast
- Stick with wooden catalyst (the silver catalyst boost only last as long as it is out and is only more useful when out for extended periods of time; use accordingly to your playing style) until you acquire this talisman

LH1: Dark Silver Shield +5 (Use the Kite Shield found in 3-1 in the meantime)
- This should never be out when casting spells, but can be useful as a defensive mechanism before you use spells, switching to the Kris blade at the last moment. [This is contrary to some builds with the catalyst and shield in the same hand]

LH2: Kris Blade +5
- A necessity as this build will have heavy mage accents

Armor:
- Old King's Armor set
- Monks Head Wrappings

- Silver Cornet*
- Full Wizard's Clothing*

  • The latter are to be used during early game and until you acquire and are able to use the appropriate armor

Gameplay tips and progression

Beat 1-1 and continue to 4-1 to get the Crescent Falchion +1, beating it is your choice. Cut through 2-1 and obtain the Kris Blade towards the end of the level. Beat the spider with soul arrow at longer range while using the thief's ring. Try to focus your stats on magic and vitality with some points into capping the strength. Then run through 3-1 with special attention to freeing Sage Freke and obtaining the Ring of Magical Sharpness. Beat that world then finish world 4-1 if you hadn't before to open up 4-2 for farming. Try to focus on developing the set stats equally at this point.
