Personally, this is the type I use. It might not have as much attack power as most dexterity builds (due to the lack of a second uchi in the left hand), but it still is a force to be reckoned with. The relatively-low Vitality makes this build more for evasion than damage soaking, but the DSS soaks up physical and spell damage, and the Ancient King's set will soak up the fire damage that might be a hassle to you (The 70% reduction to fire with the DSS already stops most flame attacks cold). Warding is far more useful in PvE than PvP, but it is still a good fallback for when Second Chance is cracked. Also, thanks to the Regenerator's Ring, you can cast Cursed Weapon with the cracked ToB and not worry too much about HP loss (With the Regenerator's ring, the HP loss is nullified into actual HP Regen, albeit slower). The DSS can set people up for a nasty parry and riposte, a Fatal Winged Spear more than likely cracking SC, or even causing OHKO, in that one, sickly awesome hit, and a cursed uchi can bring some pain as well at those times. Now, there is one huge (no pun intended, damn Meat Cleaver…-_-) flaw to this build: Magic-imbued heavy weapons. I mean sure, getting hit by a fire weapon without the dark silver shield up will hurt a ton, but this beyond-evil tactic will wreck this build and tear it a new one. If you want to ruin my day, come at me with any heavy weapon, and light weapon enchanted on it. The physical damage of such weapons will EASILY shatter the guard of the DSS, leaving the magic damage cutting right through the low Faith score of this build, that lovely, all-important HP bar, and, more than likely, Second Chance…Ouch. As such, it's better to play keep-away with these jerks, get in a few hits (or a ballsy parry), and get the hell out of there before you find yourself butchered. Another thing to watch out for is people who use Warding. Not many people use it instead of Second Chance (at least, not many I see), but it absolutely WRECKS physical attack builds like this one if caught unprepared. Paired with regeneration equipment, this can spell doom if you rush in recklessly. It's better to play more keep-away, and slam them once Warding fades out, seeing as most melee-oriented builds only have enough MP to cast Second Chance once, or Warding Twice, without having to spice.
