RH1: Fatal Estoc +5 Ring 1: Friend's Ring This build is most effective in soul form and their is no decent ring configuration in body. This build can also function as a hyper build by replacing the hitless or estoc with the bow and the bow slot with a Morion Blade and changing the Grave-robbers Ring into the Clever Cat's Ring. Equipment: Vit - Gives you the ability to take a hit or two and still be able to run away if you are detected although lowering this is not an awful idea, but the points really have nowhere to go End: Decent for striking and running away. I was considering lowering this and using the Eternal Warrior's ring, but that gives off an aura, so this was the stamina compromise. Strength: Allows for use of the bow and you can two hand the Hitless which has been doing well in my case Dex: This is a sort of joke because of diminishing returns but you will have very hefty damage in the end and you'll capture the ideological sense of a ninja Armor: |

Blue Ninja
Okay, the 91 dex is really overdoing it…Also, you don't have enough faith for Second Chance, nor the intelligence…if you want to live on the edge of getting OHK'ed, be my guest….Seeing as Hidden soul and Graverobber's Ring don't stack.
None of the stealth items overlap. The point wasn't to have a stack effect, rather if you can disappear at longer distances you can can gather yourself and recast hidden soul. One always replaces the other. and hyper mode is a variation and its not awful if you play defensively since I've seen a single bow shot break over 1000 dmg. If you were referring to the low full health, then I can take a hit, although a backstab will kill me, but if your trying to fight blow for blow, you're doing it wrong.
And second chance gives off an aura totally ruining the point of this build even if you only use it on hyper mode. Not only that, to be able to keep using Hidden Soul and Second chance you would actually have to get 24 faith which is just not where the stats should go on this build. Assuming you want to keep some of the ideals of this build intact. Of course you could go with cloak but its less effective then hidden soul and will still be ruined by second chance
The 91 dex…its excessive but the only way I can see that changing on this build is putting some into int. and I noted that. You don't need more the 35 Vit if you're actually playing how you should and 30 end should also be enough to strike and run away effectively. This however is really a sort of stat based of idealism, but I wouldn't change it. Maybe 3 more points in strength, but I always 2 hand the hitless.
You're totally disregarding the playing style of the build in criticizing it. A ninja isn't a warrior who plays fair or fights head on. This isn't a serious pvp build nor is it ineffective. Its a different style of playing.
I watched this build in action over 1000 dmg with one bow over 900 with one back stab blow for blow you wont win but if your a sneaky ninja it fun
Great ninja… lol good concept. I'm confused if you're using Hypermode with Stealth. If so, that won't work. The only things I can see are swapping the Hiltless for a Sharp/Fatal (idk if you can upgrade it along the Fatal path) Uchigatana. That way, your health bar will not show (thus giving away your location) for a few seconds after you strike. The other thing would be to take Endurance up to the full 40, just to be able to outrun anything. 90% of other builds will catch you if you try running.
Also, this build would work phenomenal in 1-3, with invading equipment, if you know all the hiding places/snipers perches. :)
I should have clarified. Hypermode is something you can go on if you get bored. And The hitless is meant for a finishing blow and they'll be able to see you striking them and the general direction you run for a bit so the health bar is of little concern as far as stealth goes. I can see (if you didn't manage to finish him) someone running away and maybe using the bar as a deception, making a hidden turn as soon as it vanishes. I do get concerned at the 3% health loss, but the hitless is so much easier to get and your attack power is extremely high. The 4o endurance strikes me as a good idea, but I just feel against it for some reason. I'll probably adjust it later though. Thanks for the criticism.
After some thought, I remember why I picked 30 end. I figured that with stealth, you only needed to run just out of sight, at which case you could hide allowing you to save points and still be evasive, but I also have to consider: save points for what. And thefact that 40 end in just purely running away is very useful.
Just reread the build and I see what you mean by using Hiltless to finish the job. You have such little Vitality that it won't drain much HP either.
How much AR/SL did you gain from 60 Dex to 91? If you sacrifice 30 points from Dex to invest into Magic, you could buff with Light Weapon (I'm almost positive that you'd get more damage out of a lit Hiltless with 61 Dex/ 30 Mag than an unlit Hiltless with 91 Dex). But you'd also have to get Intelligence to 14 or 15…. and maybe that would ruin the concept of an insanely dexterous ninja. :)
If I really wanted to do that, I would have to have a catalyst in my left hand as well, so I would have to sacrifice my bow, which does near 500 dmg. It would be a matter of preference, I suppose. The silver cornet definitely lowers to amount of int. you would need if you don't mind losing the face mask.
Light weapon would add about 260 ish dmg using an insanity catalyst and the damage would then become split. However, taking some points from dex (10, less than half it would take to get magic to 30) and putting them into int., I could learn cursed weapon which would probably yield better results considering how strong the hitless's physical strength is and I could just use the talisman of beast in my left hand instead of the talisman of god, allowing me to keep my bow and use hidden soul. Knocking dex down to about 70, I get the full stamina bar as well. Its a good variation, but it now becomes far too close to a standard dex build, where it only lacks SC and more vit. Also, the hitless would become more high maintenance and thus becomes the primary weapon, more so, which I don't really want.
Some of the suggestions you make, or at least in combination, turn the build into a deformed standard dex build, which actually says alot because that means you know what you're doing and know how to create a build, but the only variations I see in this build are:
- Boosting end. to 40
- Creating a sort of mage hybrid
- Changing the hitless for the uchigatana or another fatal weapon (which you kindly suggested)
I completely understand this build can't compete with some common pvp builds, but its more about uniqueness and fun than anything. I really appreciate your suggestions though, don't get me wrong. It definitely got my thoughts going again about this build =D
Uniqueness and fun is primary. Everything else comes after. :)
Curse Weapon would again give away position with the HP drain, but if you are using it for the same purpose as the Hiltless (to finish off your opponent) then theres nothing wrong with it.
So that leaves the only practical variation to be taking 10 points from dex and investing into End. On both builds Ive posted, I included two variations for some fluctuation in strategy/ pros and cons. Just a suggestion.
It earns a +1 from me.
Do not have anything that has a bodily aura effect. It gives you away big time. Even if u got cloak or that grave robber ring they can see the aura running around showing where u are. I think second chance gives of a light aura, but its still noticable. Im not feeling like i should be a smarty and go and test every body effect. So just be warned that aura effects give you away. Things like eternal warriors ring gives off a green aura ect ect.
Second chance definitely gives off an aura. I see ninjas all the time with SC. Its the mark of a mediocre ninja build. The way I have my build configured, you won't give off any aura. (except if you're in hyper mode, but ninja mode and hyper mode don't coexist as far as I'm concerned)
