Gameplay tips and progression |
this class only really gets a chance to shine if you are adept at the riposte and getting backstabs. I know the riposte can be hard at 1st but keep at it and youll be countering red eye knights and grim reapers before you know it. mostly you just walk around cloaked and cast one of your clouds on enemies you come across; then you backstab him. if you miss the backstab, no worriesthe riposte is made easier with the parrying dagge and the +5 fatal secret dagger one shots most things when you get the riposte or backstab. Now I will admit that boss fight are a bit more challenging. Since alot of bosses are good against poison and plauge and since this class is not meant to be in combat for extended periods of time, you'll have to use your wits to win. Dodgind shouldnt be that difficult because your so light. which is part of the reason i chose the armor. Where this has been most fun for me is pvp, but again its highly recommended you get great at the riposte 1st. trust me theres no better feeling than watching someone charge at you with meat cleaver DBS or the scrapping spear, countering them and them one shotting them. quite rewarding trust me. |
Lady Knives(help)
I was browsing the builds & this caught my eye. Thought I should mention to you clloak, death cloud & poison cloud are all spells that do not scale to magical stats, spell assist or anything. Therefore I see no point in using insanity catalyst other than handicapping your stamina pool. Furthermore unless you're going to be using spells that scale with magic stats or using weapons that scale with magic stats (ie: moon, crescent weapons or Kris, Epee Rapier) then I would suggest not putting so many points into magic.
Alternative you have a relatively decent intel & magic pool to build a magic side to your sneaking about.. if you chose instead of death & poison cloud to grab fireball & ignite you could do some real damage. What i find to be the best method of practice is to combo fireballs & ignite after a backstab. If you manage to land all three as such: backstab or riposte > fireball > ignite combo, it is quite likely you'll have broken their SC & kill your foe entirely. Considering your build relies heavily on critical hits I believe that capitalizing on your foe's incapacitated state by initiating a fireball/ignite combo would be ideal for increasing the efficacy of your attempts.
i had no idea my spells didnt get stronger with magic stat. good. one less thing to put souls into. thank you'
