Quality Build (Alternatives)
hmm… i remember fighting u, you invaded me like 3 times in a row in 1-3, and lost all the fights, even with 2 phantoms, looks like a decent build for low level.
Quality builds really sacrifice a lot of soul levels to pull off and make effective early on…The level of AR applied makes having 10 magic and Enchant Weapon nearly worthless. I would stick to using Sticky White stuff…the Hunter and Wanderer have two of the worst starting stats, with several wasted points on Luck. This build seems the work of an amateur (considering any competent build kills the Tower Knight in 4 hits or less once he falls down), but it's far from the worst I've seen. Most stealth-backstab builds are utterly ineffective against any competent player who knows anti-invasion tactics, or who is a watchful eye as a Black phantom.
As such, I suggest the following changes to make a visciously-powerful stealth build that can also stand up to upfront melee combat. My improvement has higher attack power than your build, before you apply SWS, yet still has the exact same soul level as yours.
Here's a hint: Ninjas aren't exactly the best when they're spotted.
Starting class Priest
Vit 25
Int 15
End 20
Str 30
Dex 8
Mag 10 (I hate de-leveling)
Fth 16
Luk 8
Armor
Ancient King's with Black Leather Chest
Weapons:
Left 1: Talisman of Beasts
Left 2: Adjudicator's shield (Breaks stealth, use when caught)
Right: Crushing Claymore +5
Rings
Body: Thief's Ring, Graverobber's Ring(PvP), Regenerator's Ring (PvE)
Soul: Thief's Ring, Friend's/Foe's Ring
Spells:
Warding (Breaks stealth, use when under pressure/against physical-esque builds, works demonically with Adjudicator's Shield)
Mircales:
Second Chance (All-important for PvP, breaks stealth, use when detected but not being chased)
My build does it all: Obscenely-powerful attacks (2H backstab will SC crack/Kill all but Vit tanks), stealth, and melee PvP backup for when you can't stealth.
In short, no plus, no minus, just playing Mario and one-upping you.
well, my class is a lot easier to make, (and yours is for someone who knows the game), basically just farm clearstones and rise DEX and STR, also with time, a crushing claymore looses power and is very easy to dodge compared with a quality weapon which are the ones with the most powerful physical attack, and when i say 4 hits to the tower knight, it means literally 4 hits, one on each foot, and two on the body when he falls. Also, to get all the equipment you mention, you'll have to beat half the game to get it, and yes is worth it, but my point here is to make a powerful and easy to make build, in mine the most you need to do is kill the spider to farm the clearstones, hmm…. and maybe u are right about enchant weapon, but it does a bit more damage and is not bad at level 62, if it were a high lvl PvP, then curse weapon would do it.
Actually, the AR of a Quality weapon only beats the AR of a sharp/crushing weapon when both strength and dexterity reach equal amounts (and above 50, mind you). Also, half the game?
1-1 for ancient king's set
1-2 for claymore and warding
4-1+2 for adjudicator's shield/ second chance
3-1 for black leather'/sage freke
world 2 for the ToB/Pure Greystone
3-2 if you want the Foe's ring (and kill off the NPCs)
so, in the total 16 world sections to the game, you only need to beat 7 of them. The rest is just entering a world, grabbing an item, and leaving.
Firstly, Quality weaponry suffers horribly from the SL demand… You'd be far better off with Dual Sharp Uchis/ Sharp and ~45-50 Dex with 18 Str or a Crushing Claymore/ KS with the Dex requirements and ~40 Str.
Secondly, this is a stealth build, and you recommend Foes Ring over Thiefs Ring for those who don't favor Stealth…? It's a stealth build, right?
Another thing is that you don't have Cloak under Spells? It is FAR superior to EW for a ninja. SWS will inflict more damage than EW with those stats.
Graverobber's Ring and Thief's Ring do not stack. Stealth doesn't stack. So there's no point in wearing both of them.
And another thing. Wanderer/Hunter wastes an excessive amount of points in Luck. Really, 13 Luck is unnecessary… Temple Knight is the way to go.
This build needs quite a bit of work. Sorry, but it's a -1 from me until you can really tune this build up.
The stealth doesn't stack, you are correct. But, the Graverobber's Ring outperforms the thief's ring when it comes to being invaded, but it only works against black phantoms. Plus, for a stealth build, there's hardly any alternatives for a body form player when it comes to rings, seeing as almost all of them give off an aura.
I'd recommend Graverobber's Ring + RoGS if needed to look cool, or Graverobber's Ring + Master's Ring if you decide to go along the Crushing path with your weaponry, and use Guillotine Axe/ MC. You'll get quite a few DH in there, and it helps. :)
If anything besides Thief's Ring (It is literally as good as no ring in PvP in your case) use CRR, to finish off an opponent/ stand your ground once they've spotted you and dealt damage.
omg! u all miss the point here! is a fast build easy to make! I know is not the best but i can see that none of you have seen its power, if you use this build for pvp only, is meant to stay at lvl 62, because later on ppl get second chance curse weapon and other stuff! this build's performance would suffer later on in pvp, is really powerful, but only at this lvl
Funny thing is, most builds already have second chance before they hit soul level 50, and some even have curse weapon. I doubt this build's power due to the poor use of Quality, as I have stated before.
quality is the most powerful of all physical weapons, and that is why it takes a lot of soul points, of course is not hard to add 8 point of faith and 7 more of itenlligence to have curse weapon and second chance, and i can see u have not tried a quality build before
You are right that Quality does do the most damage of the thre (Q,Crush,Sharp), HOWEVER it requires ~150% the stat spread. At this SL, the points needed to be invested into Str and Dex to make Quality weaponry exceed the power of Crush/Sharp weaponry could instead be invested into other stats (preferably Int) for a far greater effect than slightly higher base damage.
For example, let's say I have the same build, but I have taken points from dex and invested them into Intelligence, then aquired Curse Weapon after plowing through 1-3 (like you should be able to do at this SL. usually I will beat NG at ~SL70 if I don't dupe.) Your weapon will out-damage me, but I will have 50% more damage for 60 secs PLUS I am harder to detect than you due to cloak. That is better than slightly higher damage, trust me.
To adress the issue surrounding "This is the fast and cheap version," I will make it simple. Fast and cheap versions will fail. There are several ways you can acquire the harder to get weapons and spells even if you aren't the greatest PvE fighter. You can:
1. Get a friend to dupe you the equipment with a mule.
2. Dupe Demons Souls to level up to a suitable level for PvEing your way to Curse Weapon, then delevel back to whatever level you plan on PvPing at.
3. Get a friend who is more experienced with the game to help you through 1-3.
The fact remains that this is not an optimized build and is clearly not as viable as other stealth builds on this wiki. Still a -1 /:
ok ok I get it, instead of bulking points in Dex and Str, ill try to balance it and get the SL to 120's (so u can Pvp)
I personally like it the way it is like you said its suppose to be quick and easy to make and it is I use the quality halberd 5 and quality falcion 5 and find it very affective and if I do pvp I can still win most of the time if I use strategy
Plus 1
=D finally some one understands! although is not the best build, ita has strong power, if u use the halberd or mirdan hammer it has pretty good range, also is very very effective if u keep it at a low lvl pvp because is practically overpowered ty ty ^_^
Uhh… The higher the PvPing SL, the better Quality Builds get. No matter how you distribute the stats, you'll be falling behind other builds at lower SLs in either attack power or survivibility. For lower SL invasions, you're better off using +10 weapons and Dragon weapons to free up enough space to reach or approach your Vit/End hardcaps.
Again, quick and easy is never the way to go in this game if you're looking for something decent. Never.
