Armor: Wanted to try something different. Rather than giving recommendations on what sets of armor are good to use, using various pieces from different sets to mix and match can provide higher defense against the four different damage types: Blunt/Normal/Piercing/Slahsing

Some recommened armor setups:
Males:
Head piece: Assassin's Mask, Silver Coronet, Venerable Hood, Brushwood Helmet
Chest: Old Doran's, or Black Leather
Arms: Old Doran's, Chain Gloves
Legs: Hard Leather Boots, Brushwood Legs

Females: Various armor pieces that go well together:
Head-Three cornered Hat, Blinded, Plated
Chest: Rogues, Binded, Fluted,Black Leather
Legs: Old Ragged, Black Leather

Weapon set up:
Left hand slot: Either moon or crescent Uchi +5(fast left hand swings. Recommend using moon upgraded uchi versus faith builds.
Second Left Hand Slot: Ikat(for casting spell)

Right Hand Main weapon; Crescent Estoc
Second Right Hand Slot: To each their own. Based on one's fighting style.
The following are all great options to choose from-
Moon upgraded weapons: Scythe/Mirdan Hammer(both weapons basically deal same damage with 50 magic), Kilij(can upgrade to crescent too) , Knight's Sword, Winged Spear, and Crescent Axe.
To deal more magic damage, Kris Blade +5. Also does decent backstab damage(pure magic)

Catalyst: Ikat

Rings:
Body Form: Eternal, Ring of Magical Sharpness
Invader:Foes, Cling
Blue: Friends, Cling.
*If summoned for red stone; Foe's/Cling

Recommended spells/miracles

Spells:While I originally was going to go with only 21 intelligence, keeping endurance at 35, our fellow DS player , PSN: Spaceship, gave me some great advice, as you can see from his post below.
Instead of taking any points away from magic, I did with endurance, bring it down to 32. Having three extra stat points, those went towards Intelligence, taking it from 21 to 24.

Recommended Spells:(4 slots)
Firespray, Soul Ray, Light)Buff for +10 weapons)
I like this build primarily for the high moon and crescent damage of melee weapons. However, against BBS builds or faith, using moon or buffing up a +10 weapon would be the way to go.

Miracles:(two Slots) The one and only Second Chance

Gameplay tips and progression

I want to mention one crucial thing. I have seen and heard many players having difficulty getting pure darkmoonstone.
The way to easily attain one is the following: get world 4 to pure black before trying to kill the lizards in 4-2 and 4-3. The probability of getting a pure stone out of 12 attempts(2 lizards in the 4-3 area, and the one in 4-2) with pure black world tendency is extremely high. Just make sure you have two things going for you: right weapon against the running little bugger in 4-2 cliff before he takes a dive off of it, and having the thiefs ring equipped.

A great way to kill both lizards next to one another in the 4-3 area, near the area you get the storm ruler, is to go to the cliff where you get the two chunk of cloudstones. If you have the clever ring in NG get in hyper. If in NG+, use clever and Morions. Take out yoru compound long bow, equip white arrows, have good aim(hopefully:) and shoot away at them.
