Wrote crushing great axe 5 twice under right hand weapons I'm assuming you meant crushing great sword 5
Oopsies, I sure did. Havent seen you log on yet lol.
There are a few things I'd change. Firstly, get it to SL125 so you can actually be competitive, meaning taking Str to 50 and Vit to 50. Endurance should be left alone because of my next tweak.
As you may know, Curse Weapon multiplies Physical Damage after it is filtered through your opponents defenses/ resistances/ Character and World Tendencies. For example, let's say you have a DBS. You hit your opponent with Curse Weapon active. The original 550 AR multiplied by the 1.5x 2-handed damage multiplier (50%, 725 total damage), Character Tendency, (20%, 870 total damage) and Foe's/ Friend's Ring (20%, around 1044 damage) is deducted by your opponent's Physical Defense (say 230). Now you're around 814 damage. After this, Curse Weapon bonuses are applied for another 50% increase, making it deal around 1207 damage (note that these numbers are definitely off, because calculating damage is far more complicated than simple subtraction and multiplication. The same logic can still be applied though.)
If we set up this same scenario using Light Weaon instead, the damage additive would be calculated before defenses were calculated. This means it will be doing slightly more damage if the damage added is proportional to the amount added from Curse Weapon in my previous hypothetical situation. That's a good thing. The problem is that since Light Weapon is an additive and Curse Weapon is a multiplier, the high base damage of many Crushing weapons will receive exceedingly better gains from Curse weapon.
This means that larger weaponry is practically inferior on a Light Weapon Str build. This is also why you will need less Stamina (Endurance). I recommend completely taking out Great Axe and Great Sword just because of the CW/ LW comparison. The only time you should ever use LW on a weapon of such physical magnitude is on a DBS Spellsword, where combining LW and Fireball isn't such a bad idea.
However, as I said before, large weapons are not ideal for LW. You're better off with smaller weaponry (and you don't have much to choose from, I'm afraid.) This includes Knight Sword, Guillo, Mirdan Hammer, and maybe Claymore. One of the reasons a LW Dex thrives so much more than a LW Str is because they have so much more effective small weaponry to choose from. This includes Estocs, Spears, Claws, Daggers, Kilij, Meat Cleaver (requires modifications to Str, raise by 2 SLs) and even Uchis.
I know CW added 50% physical damage onto any weapon although I wasn't completely sure on the specifics ( added damage after defence etc.)
I chose to use LW because I thought it added magical damage to a weapon which would be an advantage with warding and with only having 40 str and bonus from LW, other levels could have been increased without sacrificing damage output. It is a mistake that I had raised endurance to 32 since there isn't any need therefore those 2 levels can actually be placed into strength and vitality accordingly.
I appreciate what you have written and I understand what you said but this is merely an idea for a build. I haven't tested it yet and need to tweak it like you have suggested and edit it.
All I'm trying to do is help you with the improvements. ^_^
Light Weapon does add magic to every weapon like you said. And yes this will cut through warding significantly better than CW would. That is an advantage.
My main suggestion would be to revise your weaponry. Great Axe with Light Weapon is a worse version of MC. Great Sword with LW would be unique, but you wouldn't be milking the most out of potential damage. Guillotine Axe I like… Very deadly with the super-quick attacks and good Stamina economy. Mirdan Hammmer seems a viable option, and will sustain that "3-hit to SC crack" status. Knight Sword is definitely your best option however. It has Stunlock, quick strokes, good stamina economy, and a high playing style versatility. Of course, might as well make a BBS build then. Stick with Guillo, probably. That could be pretty deadly.
I appreciate what you are saying. I prefer Great Axe over Great Sword since it is faster when held with two hands and has a hyper armour attack ( R2 - R2. ) Also it has a combo.
I have also found that two-handed R2 attacks from the Great Axe are uninterrupted unless you're fighting someone with DBS or Great Sword and if they miss an attack with those weapons the recovery is long which can lead to a deadly BS.
My next preference is of course the Guillotine Axe then Knight Sword so I will trial these options.
All I can say is, trial and error :^)
