Recommended equipment

RH1: Bramd +5
RH2: Whatever weapon you are good with, and have enough equip burden to carry. Crushing or Blessed +5
Would not recommend Great Axe, Crescent Axe, or Meat Cleaver as they all share Bramd's moveset.

LH1: Dark Silver Shield +5
LH2: Talisman of Beast, Talisman of God

Technically Garl carries his Talisman in RH2, so that is also an option if you have something else to carry in your left hand.

Full Dark Silver armor

Ring of Great Strength

DS Set+Bramd+Talisman= 76.3 lbs
With the ring you will have an Equip burden of 163.5 lbs, leaving 5.45 lbs availible for your RH2 if you leave END at 80

Recommended spells/miracles

Miracles:
God's Wrath + Heal is what NPC Garl uses, leaving one slot open for Cure, Evacuate, or Regeneration.
If you get rid of either God's Wrath OR the 2 other miracles, you can carry Second Chance

Spells:
As Ilkar says it best, I am going to copy+paste the spell section from his build. Spells in this build are purely for versatility and added effectiveness, as Garl does not use spells.

"I can hear you already - "Wait..spells? On a Faith Build!?" Well, the trick to this is to get the minimum 10 Magic required for getting these spells from Sage Freke, and then getting Soulsucked or deleveling yourself until Magic returns to the base value of 6."

-Warding (Excellent alternative to SC, low MP cost and instant casting. If your SC gets cracked, you are going to want and need this to survive.)
-Poison Cloud(Great for added versatility and in drawn-out battles)
-Death Cloud(If for some reason you don't want to use Warding)
-Any other spell you have a spare Demon Soul for.

My own suggestion to build on his would be:
-Cursed Weapon. Only if you break your Talisman of Beasts (go smash a few enemies with R2, or fight a scraping spear/acid cloud). Bramd CAN be enchanted, so if you need more damage and are experienced with cursed weapon, go for it. Other alternatives to this spell are turpentine and sticky white stuff.

Gameplay tips and progression

First off, this build has 6 extra points to play with to reach 250. Here are my recommendations on what to do with those:

Endurance: If you like to carry a heavy secondary weapon (Great Sword, Claymore), this is an obvious choice.
Intelligence: More MP
Dexterity: Raising Dex to 18 will open up a massive amount of alternative weapons to carry and use, such as the Lava Bow and Istarelle. This would be a good choice for those who are heavy into PvE
Faith: Slightly more Miracle Power (only truy good for God's Wrath, and Heal if you actually use it) and magic defense. Just gives a little bit more of what you already should have plenty of. However, if you wish to continue past 250 (not reommended, as 250 is already pretty high), Maxing Faith and carrying a secondary Blessed weapon would serve you well.
Strength: Though I haven't tested it, I believe two-handing with 66 str will give the maximum bonus possible, so my recommendation is heavily against this.

Will add progression tips if requested, though starting off as a temple knight is usually very easy. Prior to gaining enough endurance to use the full setup, Dark Silver armor along with a blessed Claymore or other weapon of choice will work wonders (even at 16 faith), and require sigificantly less endurance to roll.
