Gameplay tips and progression

With the 20 STR, you have a large veriety of weapons to choose from, I just choose axes out of a personal prefrence. Also, the END stat can be lowered to give you more Int for more slots or for more magic.

This build is more built around using your axes to deal your damage more so than your spells, thus why I did not include Kris Blade or Monk's Head Wrapping in the equipment. You want to think of your spells more of an intimidation and punishment tactic rather than your mainstay of damage. The spells I have listed cannot, obviously, all be remembered at the same time, therefor you must pick and choose what you want. You do need to be discriminatory in what you do choose, however, as you only have FOUR slots to work with, five if you use the Ring of Magical Nature. I do, however, recommend against using Firestorm, because of it hogging up a whopping 3 slots leaving you with little other choices of spells. I, personally, found the most useful spell set up to be Ignite, Poison Cloud and Soul Ray. With this set up, you can use Ignite up close for some damage and a stagger effect from the fire that can lead into an R1 combo with your nifty Moon Guillotine Axe. Poison Cloud you give them when they retreat to eat grass or a spice or a lotus to keep atleast half healing up on them. As for Soul Ray, you can use it if they retreat at a distance to eat grass in general, if you predict your opponents move succesifully you can stop them from eating their grass (doesn't happen often so don't bank on it), As for the melee strategy, I like to carry my Moon Guillotine Axe+5 and Moon Crescent Axe+5 in my right hand slots with ToB and Baby's Nail+5 in my left hand slots. If you decide to carry Death Cloud as one of your spells, you can drop the Baby's Nail for a Morion Blade in one of your left hand slots. Even if you are invading as a BP, the damage increase from Morion Blade will be nice to have at 30% or lower health without the Clever Rat's Ring.

With the Ignite spells, I like to use it to cause a stagger, then attempt to get then in a full R1 combo with the Moon Guillotine Axe, which results in a lot of damage that can possibly kill or atleast pop their SC. The rolling R1 attack with the Guill Axe, as had been stated by numerous people on this wiki, can be very vicious. I found some use out of the R2 combo with Guill axe as well, beware it will consume a lot of your stamina. The Crescent Axe I treat it as a Great Axe. It's especially good for when you need a little extra reach on your weapon, like if you are facing a person using pole weapons. This is because the Guill Axe has a very small range.

In summary, it's a build I find fun and mixes in a few different elements. This can result in a multitude of surprises for someone facing you and I have found some decent verity of spell mixes even with 4 slots. You can have the prowess of the Guillotine Axe up close with your Crescent Axe flattening people from afar. I feel I should include I have not been able to test this build at full 120 pvp yet because I haven't ascertained that SL yet (haven't been playing DS much). However, I have played with lower SL's quite a bit and against a few more veteran players, it does very well for me. Any constructive criticism is welcome and feel free to tweak the build to your liking.
