I just laughed my ass off after reading this:

If I wanted that, I'd go outside and start stabbing people with a rapier. Here's a renactment of IRL DS:

- I dispatch a "demon" (random person on the street) and collect their "souls" (all the money in their wallet, and any credit cards).
- Rinse and repeat.
- I go back to the "Nexus" to "level up" with my newly accquired souls (I buy a pistol from some shady looking cocaine dealer, and a quart of vodka).
- The world tendency turns "Pure Black", and I have to fight off new and powerful BP enemies (somebody calls the fuzz and I get into a shoot-out outside the casino with a battalion of cops).
- I die and lose all my souls (I get captured and thrown into the clink for 25 years for several counts murder, or I get gunned down).

Game Over.

But seriously, I do like the more realistic weapons (such as Rapiers and Daggers)."

yeah those damn elevator…

if a cutscene start when your riding them, they keep going and you spawn above the one you where riding and fall too another furiating death.

if the water wheel cutscene waz not activated in 2-1, stay away from those damn elevator.

Haha someone who invaded me had similar failure at the elevator going up to the rock-throwers. I hit him once which knocked him off and goodbye soul level. I had terribad gear and everything too, I could almost hear the rage through my PS3.

i invaded 2-1, and Blacksmith Ed's elevator was activated… i successfully hop on it, but then bipidibopidibum, lag, and i appear in the middle of the damn thing and fall to death… losing a soul level in the process… fascinating

New Forums Are Open

Well, I have been working on this for quite a while now, and between real life and work it did not progress as fast as I had hoped.

As many of you are aware the forums here on Wikidot leave a lot to be … desired. Wikidot will be the first one to tell you that they are not designed, nor intended, to host forums. So, I have opened a new location where we can have a fully featured (and for most of you familiar) messaging board. Registration is quick and painless.

The moderators of the forums and I have been testing things out and tweaking issues that we find. However, we are sure there will be some things we have missed. Please let us know of any issues you encounter, and we will address them as soon as possible.

Make sure you read the rules from the start, because you will be held accountable for your actions. Ignorance is no excuse. The rules are posted at the top of every single forum.

not intense but funny. i tried to help a mate and i put my sign to 3-2 (man eater) as blue but sysmtem took me to old monk as black phantom…. well since i was playing in body form my equipment was kris blade+5, ring of magical sharpness,old monk hat, foe's ring….. all boost my 70 magic stat…..
the dude kills everything and before get to fog he summons a blue one….. so they were two to fight me, so i set up an ambush…. i stayed on the entrance in left side(thank god no one had rage of god or anti magic field or i would be screwed) and i cast firestrom when they get in….. i didnt had the chance to see the dudes… they both died with one sigle shot…. fight last 2 seconds…..

I never guessed players used lag switches in DS. I thought they were used mainly in the COD series. Hmmmm. And another point, is there more natural lag from say U.K v's USA matches than an all US match ?

Try challenging someone who uses magic based characters, i would love to help you, but, i am still new to the use of a puremage
i use the spell sword build which is a good mix of melee and magic, its on the char builds page, if you are used to melee this might be a good transition first
Nick1Nintendo is probably one of the best people to ask about magic related strategies, he is the one who made the Puremage and the Spellsword builds

Yea thats pretty retarded :( I dont know if its just me but the lag seems horrible in Demon's Souls. One second the player is in front of me…then its like they teleport behind me to backstab me. I get so furious lol

In my personal opinion, that is not skill at all. It's just using a lagswitch to give yourself an advantage that renders the other player completely defenseless and vulnerable, no matter how skilled they are. It's one of the two things I consider cheap in DS is to use lagswitches. The other is to use glitches, IE Running Firestorm.
