Off the weapons page on this wiki is a good spreadsheet for what you are doing: link

Spreadsheet shows with 10 points in magic, Moon Longsword+5 does 268 dmg and Dragon Longsword+5 does 302. However because of different resistances in different worlds I would recommend getting both a fire and magic dmg longsword anyways. So really… get both.

Well, with the needle you get 20 souls per hit no matter what, pvp or pve (go hit the maiden a few times to see). As for a pvp wep it's perfect trash. It's 10/50 with no stat scaling which means you'll always do 10/50. You'll be doing more damage with an un-upgraded mail breaker.

It's not so much for trying to obtain souls, I'm trying to play around with different builds, come up with something people have never seen before. That's part of the fun of this game is making a non-cookie cutter build that when I'm invaded or invading the other player is like "Holy crap, is that person really effectively using a needle of etrnal agony? wtf?"

It really depends on your build, as you are a high magic build, then moon would be the best upgrade path because the damage bonus on a moon weapon comes from the magic stat.

If you were say, a high strength build, then the crushing upgrade path from greysyone would be the best choice because the damage bonus relies heavily on the strangth stat.

Hi Baglanis, I think as you have high magic, a Moon Claymore +5 would be the way to go, I don't think the damage will be far off that of the Regalia, you have the extra range and you're not confined to either pure white or pure black character tendancy. With your build I would definitly choose the Moon Claymore. Hope this helps :)

i never used this weapon, i cant answer that, but i think it would be better change a weapon in pvp. if u need souls dont pvping, go to 4-3 kill Flying Mantas go to nexus and again 4-3 kill Flying Mantas… same thing provides lot soul level…. but u question is realy interesting. i'll wait a reply too

I don't think that statement is nessecarily true. Yeah, a skilled person could probably kill any unskilled person with any weapon, upgraded to their build or not.
However, I don't think you will find very many well skilled Str/Dex players killing other atleast decently skilled players by using Claws+0, Mostly because their damage will be so minimal that a decently skilled player can take it and keep themselves alive throughout the entire fight untill the better player becomes serious or the lesser player gives up out of boredom.

EDIT: As for the topic, LSoM is a horrible PvP weapon. Noone uses shields to block except for turtles. For PvE, it's alright and has some uses, but, a Blessed Great Axe+5 will blow it out of the water.

Lol, i faced JIGGS with that weapon once. I won with a DBS for that fight, but JIGGS seems proficient with any weapon since he used a different weapon each of the 5 or so times I faced him and did well. However, he's probably the only person I faced who was experienced with the weapon (not to say there aren't others of course).

I'd like to see you take him on 2Legit, that is if you survive Ilkar. Best of luck to you!
