New Forums Are Open

Old forums will remain online and usable until Monday, May 24th at 5:00PM EDT . Then the old forums will be set to archive mode and you can no longer edit.

Well, I have been working on this for quite a while now, and between real life and work it did not progress as fast as I had hoped.

As many of you are aware the forums here on Wikidot leave a lot to be … desired. Wikidot will be the first one to tell you that they are not designed, nor intended, to host forums. So, I have opened a new location where we can have a fully featured (and for most of you familiar) messaging board. Registration is quick and painless.

The moderators of the forums and I have been testing things out and tweaking issues that we find. However, we are sure there will be some things we have missed. Please let us know of any issues you encounter, and we will address them as soon as possible.

Make sure you read the rules from the start, because you will be held accountable for your actions. Ignorance is no excuse. The rules are posted at the top of every single forum.

Explaining his location is very hard to do, but I can make sure you have the right key and know what he looks like.
He is in a cell that when approaching it, it has to be on your right. You should see him sitting in a meditative pose, with a glowing blue sphere floating in the room.
You can access it directly off of the staircase under the Janitor/Warders area that you need to do go down…I think he's on the floor above Rydell and the Legion.
The key you need to free Freke is found on the wall next to the 'Liar', so you should have it.

OK. Rydell is released in 3-1 using a key from 3-2.
OK. Sage Freke is released in 3-1 using a key from the by the liar in 3-1.
OK. Yuria is released in 1-3 using the key from 1-3 to get the key at end of 1-2.
OK. Saint Urbain is released in 4-2 by killing the BP near him.

Wait a second, after reading some other posts it looks like perhaps there are two people to be released in 3-1, rydell,,, perhpas i have the key for yuria right now? Is sage releaseable in 3-1 or not and if so, WHERE in 3-1 is he?!?!?

So I went up and got the jailers special key, when i go to Sage's cell in 3-1 it still says the cell appears to be locked… according to THIS WIKI and IGN's walk through I SHOULD be able to release him, and according to this wiki, he is pretty important since i am using a ton of magic….

* To unlock him…
* Get the 'Jailers Special key' from on top of a tower near the 'Liar', right before the 3-1 boss' area.
* Return to Freke's cell and unlock it.
* Upon talking to him, he gives the Geri's Stiletto.
* Next time you return to the Nexus he will appear near his apprentice.

I have left and gone back to the nexus, i can gone back to see if i missed the key somehow or there is another… what am i doing wrong or did i get the worlds WORST possible glitch for my build….

I was going to say like Anorack, Once Royal Mistress I think means she was once a Royal's Mistress. She is a lady of ill-repute but in many a palace they were given high status. Courtesans or consorts.

And, the first time I played the game I killed her. I had played Dead Space where there was creepy singing and her singing bothered me. And I read lots of messages that said attack or true love ahead and oops, off with her head. She never got a chance to attack me.

Another question might be why she wants to stay there a bit longer as she says. Twisted, I think, but then all of the vendors are. Freaky woman in the swamp, Patches, etc.

I have the US version of the game. Whenever I've visited her before, she's been the Once Royal Mistress.

I'm not saying this is proof. I just happened to be going through 3-1 the day after I came across this thread, so I thought I would mention it.

Depends on the version of the game you have.
That of course is no proof she is the Queen, you can be the wife of Royalty and be married to anyone in the royal line in question.

I don't know if this has happened to anybody else, but in my most recent playthrough, she mentions that she was once married to royalty. Also, when I go to buy something from her, it says Once Royal Wife at the top of the screen. I'll go back and get a picture of it.

Thanks for the tips. I was able to pick up the fluted armor and I tried to see if I could drop anything else to pick up the remaining items but I have never figured out how to drop anything. I thought that was something that could only be done when you have blue phantoms with you. I did have the ring of herculean strength on at the time too, lol! I had way too many items on

The exact same thing happened to me my first playthrough, so I dropped any nonessential and easily replaceable item to make space. Just because you see a sword and shield icon does not mean there are both a sword and shield on the ground. That is just the icon to denote a weapon. As the game considers shields weapons, that drop you didn't pick up is a kite shield, so you're not missing out on anything amazing.

You mean 1-4 off BP Ostrava, not 4-4. As there is no 4-4. Unless you are using a different numbering system for the worlds.

There's a vendor that sells the fluted armor, you can check the wiki for who it is, other than that you'll just have to wait till your NG+ to get the stuff. Once you pick it up and have to drop it, then leave the world; it's gone. The ring of Herculean Strength will allow you to pick it up if you're overburdened. Check the wiki for how to get it.

Edit* Apparently there is no vendor that sells the armor, so you'll have to wait till your next game to get it, or have someone dupe it to you.

Edit** If you have the armor, what sword and shield are you talking about? If it's the Rune Sword and Shield that's in 3-2 then you can get it in 4-4 from the Black Phantom Ostrava.

Hey all. I was a bit encumbered with my inventory and picked up the fluted armor and noticed there was a sword and shield in the same location in 3-1. i had to go back to the nexus and store some stuff and when I came back, the sword and shield was gone.

would anyone happen to know how to get this stuff back?

she probrably isnt the queen cuz if im recalling right the monk created prison to lock the queen there since he hated her and so i dont think that the queen would be in a normal cell she would probrably be on a max security cell or dead.

*starts to chuckle then laughs* haha lol I wasn't sure I should or not to point out mistress also meant back then hooker. Wow, a sexual reference in the game, *chuckle* +1 for the maker of the game putting a small hidden reference in there.
