New Forums Are Open

Old forums will remain online and you may post (but not create new threads) until Monday, May 24th at 5:00PM EDT. After the old forums will be set to archive mode and you can no longer post.

Well, I have been working on this for quite a while now, and between real life and work it did not progress as fast as I had hoped.

As many of you are aware the forums here on Wikidot leave a lot to be … desired. Wikidot will be the first one to tell you that they are not designed, nor intended, to host forums. So, I have opened a new location where we can have a fully featured (and for most of you familiar) messaging board. Registration is quick and painless.

The moderators of the forums and I have been testing things out and tweaking issues that we find. However, we are sure there will be some things we have missed. Please let us know of any issues you encounter, and we will address them as soon as possible.

Make sure you read the rules from the start, because you will be held accountable for your actions. Ignorance is no excuse. The rules are posted at the top of every single forum.

My second time through Demon's Souls picked up a lot of background knowledge and extra hidden bits. I realized that this game actually has a deeper narrative and it's also very intriguing to think about the background story. There's a lot of subtle hints throughout the game to carry on deeper narrative and an awsome-er story.

Yes, am actually referring to what StefanieTN mentioned. That is exactly why I don't want to play R3 anymore. Thinking about getting R1/R2 instead. Well, ATM ill probably going to get R1.

Well, it's not the Soulsucker method to which radzidane is referring. There's a glitch in the three Asian versions that allows soul duplication between two characters within one account. A patch was published to fix the glitch, but patches can be uninstalled and reinstalled at will. However (if I remember correctly), you must have the latest patch installed in order to play online.

The North American and European games ship with Patch 1.04 pre-installed, so it can't be done with those two versions.

Hi Old Timer,

nice to have you back in DS. I totally agree with you, that this Site is the one and only Resource of Information about Demons Souls and yes this Page has improved very much in the last 6 month. Its awesome.
It is true, that you can "Soulsuck" a friendly Black or Red Phantom, till Soullevel 712 in any Versions of the Game.
There is a lot of PVP going on atm. Take a Look at the PVP Tournaments Link. Next Saturday is a PVP Tourney for Level 712 Chars.

Hi there, its been a LONG TIME since the last time I visited this site, heck, my DS R3 bd cracked =(

But, I just want to say that you guys did a GREAT JOB improving this wiki. I can see that the quickbar on the left is really organize compared to before.

And the forum is an AWESOME feature considering we can now trade/borrow item to obtain trophy, rather than messaging one another via XMB.

Its really nice to see my Farming guide is still here and contributes to the community

verdict: you guys rock!

To those who still haven''t decided to buy DS or not, think no more! Just buy it and play liek crazy!

+Planning on getting R1/R2 instead of R3. I heard you can soul glitches R3 until lvl700+, is it true?

I don't know if this feature is already implemented, at which point I just can't find it, but it would be nice if we can see what threads we have posted in. This feature may be hard, since our forum account is actually through wikidot, and they'd have to be the ones to make that change.

If you really need to look for a specific PSN, ask the person on the forums to PM it to you, then copy paste it into the search bar right under your account, in the top right.

It would be easier to locate someone you are looking for… Showing them by rating is cool, but you can't find someone you're looking by their rating. It would be nice to have something like: Sort Alphabetically

I've just started NG++. If there are any specific NPCs you need dialogue for, I can record and transcribe it. Especially in regards to what StephanieTN mentioned about dialogue paths.

Although I'd like to see this through, the factor of lag during using a weapon would render this completely useless. Also, it could be based on classification of weapon rather than the weapon itself, which is completely obvious. If they're different, such as makoto and hiltless, it's such a small difference that the lag makes up for it in PvP.

Interesting idea. I think it would do well to have some measurements for different weapons, though aspects like phantom range could make things difficult.

I know that there is no official way to measure range on a melee weapon. However, the administrators on this site have gone through extensive testing with how each weapon works. Perhaps a scale of ranges could be created to help players pick the most suitable weapon. (ie. a 1-10 range from least range to greatest range)

I quite like the idea of having a builds section. I could imagine someone wanting to ask about builds, or get advice on their build, without wanting to post it in the Character Builds section.
