New Forums Are Open

Well, I have been working on this for quite a while now, and between real life and work it did not progress as fast as I had hoped.

As many of you are aware the forums here on Wikidot leave a lot to be … desired. Wikidot will be the first one to tell you that they are not designed, nor intended, to host forums. So, I have opened a new location where we can have a fully featured (and for most of you familiar) messaging board. Registration is quick and painless.

The moderators of the forums and I have been testing things out and tweaking issues that we find. However, we are sure there will be some things we have missed. Please let us know of any issues you encounter, and we will address them as soon as possible.

Make sure you read the rules from the start, because you will be held accountable for your actions. Ignorance is no excuse. The rules are posted at the top of every single forum.

Duping is cheating?

I hate cheating…It spoils a game for me, to know I got a weapon by duping or cheating makes no sense or the fun/challenge element of the game..so why do people ask about duping? its not what I want to know….sorry rant over:)

I need a build

I want a build that has minimum magic and is just strong and not focused on obtaining one weapon (becuase i like to switch) i always liked the ninja type so something quick with a sword that easy to move (it can be a katana though) i've won without magic so its not really necessary until high levels so unless you can convice me of going a different route i would highly appreciate help on a build that follows these guide lines

invading as monk boss glitch

I was bored and felt like invading people as monk boss for a few hours. After about 3-5 kills, I stumble upon a host who is in soul form….is this a glitch or just a rare occurrence? I was able to invade other hosts that were in soul form, but I understand that the host has to be in body form to be able to be invaded.

When do folks start summoning? Or do you summon at all?

Hey folks! Thought I'd ask a general question since I didn't see where it fit into other categories:

When do other players start summoning helpers? I just started out with a new character and I figured I could help people in the Boletarian palace who are having trouble beating the Phalanx. I sat there for about 45 minutes, soul sign, message about "you can summon here" and no one picked up!

I guess this begs the question…did you summon your first time through the game? Or was it more a matter of personal pride to try and beat every boss by yourself? (Me personally, I know my pride got in the way and I never summoned. )

I'm eager to help out newbies from the get-go but I don't know if the concept of summoning comes into play until later in the game.

Thoughts?

I really want to gain the sage's trophy, but I don't know if you have to learn them all on one character or it can be split between any of the four.

Transferring items to another char

I am going to transfer items on char to another, the earliest you can summon is when you get your body back after 1-1 right? And the page on the Blue Eye summon deal is a little bit confusing, it's x + 10 + (x/10), is that how many levels they have to be within you? So a level 12 could summon someone within 24 levels of themself?

I was in 3-2 nosing around and ended up at the bottom of the tower. I was taking care of a face bug and got hit twice and my wepon AND all my armor broke! Besides wasting thousands in souls to get it all repaired… Any ideas???

Okay so….I've been wondering why when I make a class like a pure mage and pump magic and int it rocks up until 50 magic then starts sucking, and after some reading here and there i read it may have something to do with "diminishing returns"….can anyone please direct me to/give me a little explanation..?

Hey forum,

I recently decided to redo my stats as I have become more accustomed to the uchigatana. However, I had been going for a strength build and now I'm heading for a dex build. With my stats for strength leveled up significantly more than dex, and wanting to maintain a lower soul level, I am going to be invading and suiciding (only method of deleveling that is available to me…I think…please leave other methods :D). What I noticed (I've never done this before so excuse what may be obvious to you, but not to me x]) was that it started from my highest stat which was Endurance and then once it got down below my next highest stat; strength; it randomly picked stats to decrease.

So my point in this is, is there a certain way that you delevel? Or could it be random?

Well I am kind of bored, is there anything cool to do? I tried soloing the false king, was fun as hell.

Lol it took so long that some black phantom got in and started attacking him so I plugged out the cable.

Anyway I killed almost all of the bosses aside from the Tower Knight, any idea of anything I should do?

im actually sl 160 but when i increase my dex nothing happen to damage. only fall damage decrease. also strenght and physical defense dont grow up.

hey guys, ive looked all around for an answer to this but no luck.
im trying to use a great axe +6 and i have the min 18 str to use it with 2 hands. when i inspect the axe while its unequipped or not using 2 hands, i see "208 -167" , but when i have it equipped its only "208 +50".
is the -167 just the penalty for not having the strength in addition to missing out on the +50 bonus, or is something wrong? do i need the full 26 str for the great axe to get the full damage bonus? thanks for the help

This is driving me bonkers.

I am now on my 5th or 6th play-through with a from-scratch character, trying different builds, learning, just basically getting a grasp of how Demon's Souls works, how tendency works, etc. On my latest character, I have been an absolute stickler for following the specific rules on how to get the world tendency to pure white, and more specifically in Latria and Stonefang, because I want to free Rydell and want to collect the Bonesmasher.

I have immediately turned myself into a ghost in the Nexus to avoid dying in any world, and I have been successful. I have not died in body form in any world on this character. I have not killed, or even accidentally attacked any NPC. I have advanced all the way through the demons on each world, killing the archdemon in each without dying in body form, and have returned to the nexus to make sure that all of the kills 'count'. (In fact I killed each demon without any phantom help either, it was all me.)

And then when I go back to the tower in Latria to get Rydell's key, *NO BRIDGE*. When I go to the Dragon stone to get the Bonesmasher, *rubble still blocks it*.

I just don't get it. And now, having killed each archdemon, I can't quite figure out what else I am supposed to do? By my understanding of how this is all supposed to work, I should be at pure white in these worlds.

Am I just dumb, and am missing something obvious?

I have not deliberately shifted either of these worlds to pure black yet, so I know I still have some primeval demons to kill, and also some black phantoms will appear, but I doubt those will be enough to shift me all the way from pure black to pure white.

Can anyone offer some words of wisdom? I am getting seriously frustrated by this situation.. grrrr.
