New Forums Are Open

Old forums will remain online and you may post (but not create new threads) until Monday, May 24th at 5:00PM EDT. After the old forums will be set to archive mode and you can no longer post.

Well, I have been working on this for quite a while now, and between real life and work it did not progress as fast as I had hoped.

As many of you are aware the forums here on Wikidot leave a lot to be … desired. Wikidot will be the first one to tell you that they are not designed, nor intended, to host forums. So, I have opened a new location where we can have a fully featured (and for most of you familiar) messaging board. Registration is quick and painless.

The moderators of the forums and I have been testing things out and tweaking issues that we find. However, we are sure there will be some things we have missed. Please let us know of any issues you encounter, and we will address them as soon as possible.

Make sure you read the rules from the start, because you will be held accountable for your actions. Ignorance is no excuse. The rules are posted at the top of every single forum.

Pissed off vendor

I accidently hit the 2-1 vendor and she is pissed off at me now. I need to buy some shards from her. Is there any way to calm her down so she will stop attacking me and sell to me?

Freke's Apprentice will not teach me Magic

My character is a Templer Knight soul level 34. Everytime I go Freke's apprentice he just tells me to go away. The only thing that might affect this is the fact that I killed Ostrava in 1-1. I got tangled up and hit him a few times then he started to fight me. He lost. Could that cause the Apprentice to not teach me any spells or is it my character?

St Urbain and Patches gone from Nexus but wasn't Yurt

St Urbain and Patched have disappeared from the Nexus in NG. I killed Yurt a long time ago and had been buying arrows from Patches, and swapping miracles with Urbain for a while.
I've read that this is similar to the Ed disappearing act but is there any new solution to this problem aside from starting a NG?
Btw, I really didn't want to do start a new game as I was keeping this character in the SL 30s.

Also, the black phantom in the pit in 4-2 keeps respawning. Thing is, I don't really need Darkmoonstone chunks. And I did all the Patches sequences in 2-1 and 4-2 prior to him returning to the nexus.

Any ideas, anyone…?

Obviously if they are killed in Black Phantom form they're not coming back, but if you kill them in physical form will you get to fight them again in soul form? And if you leave a black phantom alone will they become human again if you some how get world tendency to be white again?

I've been working on shifting world tendencies offline and I'm coming around to Miralda again (I killed her in PWWT) and I just wanted to know before I get there.

Scirvir, the Wanderer, black phantom missing

Got myself to PBWT, and killed primeval demon. Without returning to nexus, I walked from 2-1 to 2-2, killing black phantoms along the way. But when I reached Scirvir, the Wanderer spawn location, i shot a number of arrows, he wasn't there.

Anyone knows what is wrong?

Please help as I want my talisman of the beast.

20 Faith but not Stone from Worshipper of God (Urbain's Female Follower)

I have just increased my faith to 20, but when I talk to the worshipper of god, all she does is say Oh Saint Urbain, Umbasa.

Can't get my pure faithstone.

Is this a bug, or do I actually need greater faith?

On my first play through Ed disappeared for some reason, I didn't attack him or anything. Then on NG+, Ed had been there for a while now, but tonight I beat flamelurker. So I ran to Ed to finally get some upgrades, and he was gone AGAIN!!!! Has anyone figured out what causes this so I make sure I don't do it again? Thanks

I accidentally pissed her off when I was in 5-1 and had to kill her. Will she show up in 5-2? I killed her before I defeated leechmonger and all that after she was dead so will she perhaps show up in her second spot?

If you kill an NPC in white world tendency, will they still appear as a black phantom in pure black world tendency? For example, if I killed Selen Vinland in 5-2 in white tendency, will she still appear as a BP in pure black world tendency?

I acceidently attacked her when i was attacking the guy guarding her. now she's pissed and won't talk to me, she just wants to attack me no matter what.

Weird Ostrava

This is really weird for me as I have never seen this. I read the Ostrava summary in the wiki and it says that the battle is mandatory in 1-4. Instead I found him sitting in the stairs, I talked to him and he told me to kill his father upstairs because he's corrupted, gave me the key to the Mausoleum and told me get both soulbrandt and demonbrandt, then he killed himself.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so, why does this happen?

Can't free Rydell

So I got the "Special Cell Key" from the wall after dispatching the dredgeling guy in the tower. Now I've gone to Rydell's cell and the game keeps telling me "It appears to be locked". I don't want to defeat the boss until I free him, just in case he disappears but I just don't know wtf is going on. Any ideas?

I wanted a black world tendency in 2, so i thought i would kill an NPC. Killed filthy man in 2-2, and he was gone in 2-1. Didnt realise they were the same person.
I need alot of hardstone and sharpstone. Can I get him back or get these stones quickly?

Naturally when I built my first character I made a few stat allocation mistakes. In my quest to find the fabled Pure Bladestone (and some other materials) I threw 30 points in luck. Not realizing, of course, that it does nothing for RARE drop rates only drop rates in general. The only purpose of luck is to improve a BBS or berate your opponent (some guy - "I only lost because of lag.", Me - "No, it was because I have all those extra points in luck."). I was planning to de-level it out eventually, but I new it would take forever. That's when I found the woman of my dreams, Mephistopheles.

After completing all the assassination quests, spare Mephistopheles (or just attack her right away if you already have the Foe's Ring). Every time you want to de-level run up to Meph with your shield raised, she's like a kitten. After you stay in her face for a while she'll get annoyed and use Soulsucker on you, but she only does it twice. After the second time just suicide in the nexus or warp out. I dropped 20 levels in about 20 minutes. It's better than Nutrisystem.

This means as long as you have a male and a female character (preferably a Knight for both) you can switch to virtually any build in about two hours. Just before NG++ you should have about every item that matters so you can PVP to your heart's content forever and not have to worry about the 4 character cap or the 15 hours it will take to make another serviceable character.

Has anyone else had this problem? When I rescued him I had 6 Magic and hadn't been able to get the rescue quest from his apprentice. I did rescue him and got his dagger as a reward in 3-1, but he's not showing up in the Nexus at all, any help? I'm totally f**ked if he's bugged and not showing up, I really don't want to try going all the way through to NG+ without any of his spells…

hi there,

i have a problem. i made it to 1-4 and two blue phantoms joined my journey to the false king. the two guys killed everyone in our way, i couldn't even help them much… now after the false king is gone and i earned a lot of souls, i recognized that i didn't see ostrava on our way. i helped him 3times and now there's no mausoleum's key anywhere in 1-4. could it be in 1-2 or 1-3 ??? please help me, i really want that demonbrand.

Yurt Vs Biorr

I was truely wondering if Biorr & Yurt met up and started to beef. How would win or lose. I was thinking Biorr would win since when i Vs him he was the only challenging person i came across (exception of Doran). when I Vs Yurt i gave him proberly 2 or 3 swipes and he was on his knee's crying (But, it could have been i was level 140 with Dragon Bone Crusher+5).

So, how do you think will win if they go 1vs1?
