Well, I have been working on this for quite a while now, and between real life and work it did not progress as fast as I had hoped.

As many of you are aware the forums here on Wikidot leave a lot to be … desired. Wikidot will be the first one to tell you that they are not designed, nor intended, to host forums. So, I have opened a new location where we can have a fully featured (and for most of you familiar) messaging board. Registration is quick and painless.

The moderators of the forums and I have been testing things out and tweaking issues that we find. However, we are sure there will be some things we have missed. Please let us know of any issues you encounter, and we will address them as soon as possible.

Make sure you read the rules from the start, because you will be held accountable for your actions. Ignorance is no excuse. The rules are posted at the top of every single forum.

What in the world did you guys do to kill him? The videos I see have people using overpowered equipment (one guy was doing around 300 dmg per hit; I average 50 with the freaking cleaver) and somehow managing to corner him. If I try to corner him, EVER, he rolls and chops and ruins my face. Then I back off and try to heal and he runs and chops and whee look at the archstone.

I don't think I've ever been so frustrated in my life.

1. As listed on the wiki, you can kill the first one through the fog gate with a bow and a big supply of arrows. Pretty simple, but then you have to deal with the second one on your own. I personally never bother with this after figuring out my next 2 points due to the time it takes to kill from the fog gate, and I don't like to carry 200+ arrows depending on the playthrough.

2. For mages, one word: Firestorm. He is weak to fire, take advantage. A good spot to use it is at the flame in the middle, just wait for him to pounce, and cast immediately as he hs a long recovery time. ALTERNATIVELY, Fire Spray with maximum amounts of magic boosting equipment will deal admirable damage while keeping you mobile, just don't fall off a ledge.

3. For melee: Dragon weapons or Turpentine, Warding (or protection if you have only 1 slot), and HYPER ARMOR. Particularly, Dragon Miridan Hammers will annihilate a Maneater with ease. It it easy to target and dispatch his troublesom tail when his back is turned due to the hammer's range, and something I recently learned works AMAZINGLY WELL, the R2 attack can tank through his crazy knockdown and keep you from being sent off the edge, which is arguably the biggest threat from this beast. Always save some stamina for and emergency R2 in case he is about to do a pounce attack. Great/Crescent Axe might also be a good choice due to hyper armor, though I haven't really used them personally.

4. Though it deals damage at a slow rate, you can poison cloud him for at least some additional damage while he is flying around and you can't hit him.

5. If you are majorly hurt and need grass and have one or two maneaters on your ass, RUN to the other end of the bridge, as maneaters aren't the fastest runners and tend to fly in strange erratic patterns rather than going straight after you.

I got him all the way down to about 3 hits shy of doom and he still beat me. 4 levels he drained. ARRGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd be really pissed if I wasn't hopelessly addicted and in love with this game. Now I have to carefully get back to him and get my stain or i'm out 200,000 souls more or less.

Demon's Souls truly is the hardest game I have ever played, but it's also about an ocean's size in distance ahead of all other games.

having so much trouble defeating this boss. I only have soul arrow (royal 1st spell). having no weapon upgrade. wasted a lot of spices and grasses before got killed. try to do it again and again (more than 10x) I think. anyone has any idea to help me here?

currently finished world 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 3-1

any suggestions?
