New Forums Are Open

Old forums will remain online and you may post (but not create new threads) until Monday, May 24th at 5:00PM EDT. After the old forums will be set to archive mode and you can no longer post.

Well, I have been working on this for quite a while now, and between real life and work it did not progress as fast as I had hoped.

As many of you are aware the forums here on Wikidot leave a lot to be … desired. Wikidot will be the first one to tell you that they are not designed, nor intended, to host forums. So, I have opened a new location where we can have a fully featured (and for most of you familiar) messaging board. Registration is quick and painless.

The moderators of the forums and I have been testing things out and tweaking issues that we find. However, we are sure there will be some things we have missed. Please let us know of any issues you encounter, and we will address them as soon as possible.

Make sure you read the rules from the start, because you will be held accountable for your actions. Ignorance is no excuse. The rules are posted at the top of every single forum.

190,000 souls, just enough for a soul upgrade for me, I was on the cliff face fighting the golden skeletons, than out of no where a spike flies through me and sends me off balance, than the gold skeletons hit me. I had about 20 hp, you could barely see it, and right before the white moon grass hit my lips, in comes a spike and kills me off the edge. When I get back, my blood stain is glitched off the edge. I wanted to post this on FML

named NPCs in white world/black world

can i kill named NPCs in both white and black world tendency, for example i killed miralda last night in pure black (i think i fell asleep during the fight) can i somehow get WWT and kill her there? i guess i am confused cuz i am basically done with boletarian place just have to kill ostrava and old king and the primevil guy (cant find him) so i dont know how i can get it back up to white now that im at neutral.

advice on multiple enemies

Just starting out in the game and enjoy the challenge, but I have to admit I don't think I understand the proper way to handle multiple enemies with melee weapons. Sometimes of course you can carefully trigger only one enemy at a time to approach but when there are two or more, it seems very difficult to separate them so that you can address just one attack with a proper block, dodge, or parry. Learning how to fight effectively seems to be the core of the game and it would be helpful not to have to die more than I already am. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated!

Fun caster strategy

Hey guys, I have a low-strength (20) low-armor caster character (magic: 30), and I've just found a fun and easy way to beat some of the toughest enemies in the game, which I thought I'd share.

In your right hand, equip a Great Club and your favorite wand / talisman. In your left, pack a Kris blade (preferably leveled up). If you don't have a leveled Kris blade, you can also pack the Monk's Headdress and/or a Ring of Magical Sharpness.

What you do is dodge your enemy's first attack, and smack him with the club to knock him to the ground. Quickly switch to your wand and blast the enemy with Firestorm as they're getting up.

I can kill katana skeletons and red-eye knights in one hit with this combo, and black phantoms generally go down in two or three hits. Good times!

Black Skeles, npcs, BPs

i died more because of black skeles than of any boss/enemy in the game. with my first toon (a dex build) i farmed myself a pure bladestone in ng. i died so often from the BP black skele and the hidden passage black skele. they can oneshot you if you have PBWT. so i was very affraid, constantly rolling arround and harrassing them until they died. that was a major mistake.

its insanely easy to beat them. and the fact that i figured it out so long after they killed me so many times is a bit embarassing. nontheless i want to share my method with you because if anyone outhere is farming for bladestones then he simply MUST know this! ok heres the thing:

1. equip a 1handed weapon that potentialy does piercing damage. on a dex build use any fatal weapon, or the uchi for example.
2. equip a highly upgraded knights shield or a fully upgraded dss.

3. get the attention of the black skele. he will do the sweeping attack first (i cant remember that he did anything else as a first move)
4. roll through the sweeping attack. for me its the easyest without lock and a sideway roll. you can use lock on if you want.
5. backstab
6. on wakeup you can poke/harrass him with 1 attack until he tryes to hit you with a standard attack or a hyper armor attack
7. parry
8. riposte
9. loot

I nearly got cleaved to death if it wasn't for evacuate spell saving my butt. Anyone know of this BP? Or should I take a look around more world guides for BPs?

Red Eye Knight 1-1

My current level is 34 and this guy still whoops me to no end. What should I get so that we can be comparable in a melee attack.

I have lured him to the stairs … and have also ranged killed him, but this guy deserves me to kill him in a toe to toe matchup.
I'm a STR & DEX build but no stats above 24 yet.

My plan was to get a Great Axe and level up to +5 and then give him a shot

thoughts?

Here's the thing: I'm playing a Mage and her Anti-Magic is freakin' neutering me. I'm at end game and only need to kill her to get the Blind for my Soldier's Trophy.

I tried pelting her with Heavy Arrows from my Lava Bow and got her health down significantly but she used Regeneration and when I fired to interupt her I missed. LOL Didn't have enough arrows to do it all over. So I jumped down from the walkway, ran up to her, and cast Firestorm. It hit once, but she immediately cast Anti-Magic and then worked me over.

Any advice for a Mage? Are arrows going to be my best option here?

Lizardmen of Death?

I keep dying to the Lizardmen (NG+) in 2-2 at the right path, is this normal, or am i just being stupid?
I die in two hits, so it could simply be my set-up isn't designed for this place (i am a spellsword/puremage)

Edit: I found out i got to kill one of the Lizardmen at the very front of the course, so i get hit in the front and then the back, whoops XD

Primeval Demons

Personally I find the information on Primeval Demons to be sort of confusing. For example, I got world 1 to pure black tendency, killed Miralda in 1-1, fought through 1-2, and then found a Primeval Demon waiting for me in 1-3. According to the wiki, black phantom Miralda only appears in pure black, while the Primeval Demon appears one level lighter than pure black. I read this to mean that the Demon ONLY appears one level lighter and not on pure black, but does it mean that the Demon appears on one level lighter than pure black as well as pure black? Or is the information wrong?

Anyone else confused? Or am I just stupid?

I'm really struggling with these guys, their attacks do ridiculous amounts of damage and worst of all each attack can easily knock you down if you're not blocking
I'm using the purple flame shield+4 but not even the hitres is enough, every block drains almost all my stamina and I can't counter

the only way i can kill them is to abuse the path finding bugs in this game by luring them into a wooden columns they can't fit through and take them down slowly with arrows, or ranged magic
death cloud works too, but all these methods are very time consuming and not very effective for farming

any tips?
there must be an easier way to take them on using melee

I'm SL 112 btw, NG temple knight and using a Halberd +9
I have Total Protection but the knock down effect really kills me
I need to farm these guys for Stone of Ephemereal Eyes

You simply have to soulsuck the desired target, no fight.
I killed everyone under 6 minutes and got all mephistopheles' item prizes.

After killing the 2h red eye knight and 4 archers in 1-3 you will face a small corridor ……. in Black world tendency when you try getting past this corridor 2 black phantom fat minister lock you between them and probably kill you….. you can also try escaping which is highly dangerous….

Rather you can take a detour to the left of the corridor before entering it……
And spam [X] button near the ledge you will jump of it….. tadaaaa escapeee….

Advice on killing Rydell

To give you a tad of background on why I think I am having trouble, I may have gone a tad too specialized for my first game and given he is rather strong against magic I am not doing enough damage on him.

Currently I am SL 61, my best damage dealing weapons are Crescent Falchion +1 and Moon Winged Spear +3. I also have the standard spells like Soul Arrow and Soul Ray, Flame Toss, none of the higher tiered spells like Firestorm or any of the clouds. My stats are something like vit 22, int 19, str 16, dex 16, magic 33, faith 12.

As you can see I am rather geared towards being a magic user, and all my weapons do great damage.. assuming the enemy is not strong against it. Does anyone have any tips on how I could take this pain in the but BP down a little easier?

Im not a pro player in any sort of way, im just blechh…decent, (Soul Lvl 131 for now), but i have found a way to kill both of these BPs almost blindfolded ( YAY FOR LOCK ON!!!)
ok first, With PBWT scirvir BP appears in 2-2 on the little cave/ledge on the jump & fall shortcut path. You didnt know about him in your first play through when you could've one hit KO him? Now you in NG+ trying to get the Talisman of the Beasts but hes one hit KOing YOU?? FEAR NO MORE
SUPER NOOB TACTICS FOR THE WIN ARE HERE. equip theif ring (graverobbers helps but not necessary), have a catalyst and soulsucker, since this is NG+, now i know what you are thinking… Soulsucker?? His back is to the wall…how the heck? Well my fellow noobs, nowhere in the rules does it say soulsucker has to be from the back. Yes, you are thinking what im thinking. When he first sees you he casts that REALLY annoying healspell. So why not just soulsuck him while he casts it? Yep, just land on the ledge, AND RUN AT HIM LIKE A VILLAGE IDIOT WITH A LITTLE STICK(catalyst) AND SOULSUCK HIM WHILE HE CASTS HEAL.
LOLS, i am not kidding, i cant put a video to officially confirm, but someone will i bet.
And for the BP in 3-1, have you noticed that from a distance she shoots you with bolts? Did you also notice she stands still?
FIREBALL FOR THE WIN, this only works with fireball, just get a short-medium distance between the two of you, so that you can lock on her, shell be shooting bolts at you , strafe, as soon as she misses one fireball to the face, the key is the flinch from fireball, dont get too close so that shell melee, and just spam fireball, about 4-10 will kill her depending on stuff.
