New Forums Are Open

Old forums will remain online and you may post (but not create new threads) until Monday, May 24th at 5:00PM EDT. After the old forums will be set to archive mode and you can no longer post.

Well, I have been working on this for quite a while now, and between real life and work it did not progress as fast as I had hoped.

As many of you are aware the forums here on Wikidot leave a lot to be … desired. Wikidot will be the first one to tell you that they are not designed, nor intended, to host forums. So, I have opened a new location where we can have a fully featured (and for most of you familiar) messaging board. Registration is quick and painless.

The moderators of the forums and I have been testing things out and tweaking issues that we find. However, we are sure there will be some things we have missed. Please let us know of any issues you encounter, and we will address them as soon as possible.

Make sure you read the rules from the start, because you will be held accountable for your actions. Ignorance is no excuse. The rules are posted at the top of every single forum.

Thanks, and enjoy.

http://forums.demonssouls.info

Re-direct to Common Decency Rule?

I don't know if any of you have noticed (And please lock and delete if you feel this thread inappropriately made by a user or unnecessary), but I have noticed an increase in the breaking of the trolling/decency rules.

People, this is supposed to be a fun environment for users to talk about this magnificant game and to comment their opinions/advice on other people's threads. But I have noticed a lot of flaming on this site in response to other people's posts or even just because something was said that was not agreed with. Comments such as "You're an idiot" or "shut up" are not necessary on this forum as they are disrespectful and rude to users who are just trying to get things figured out or help out. The moderators aren't always online to see these threads so can we please keep it clean so they don't have to worry about it? I know this game is rated M for mature audiences but MATURE audiences don't flame each other.

Tone it down a bit with the inconsiderate flames people, thats all I'm asking for, and I'm pretty sure the mods would agree with me even if they delete this thread.

Thanks

-Language and Trolling

Understandably we want to keep these forums at least a little family-friendly. Even though the game is rated M for mature, it is almost a guarantee that there will be young users of these boards. Out of respect for other users and those who find bad language offensive, vulgar language is not allowed under any circumstances.
This constitutes not just swearing but also any kind of offensive, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate material.
Any instances of inappropriate language will be removed and you'll get a warning. Keep it up and I'll send Flamelurker after you and you'll be banned, with your PSN ID removed.
Do not post provocative or pointless message or create topics only to get a response from others i.e Trolling. Repeat violators will be banned from the site and have their PSN ID's removed from the wiki.

Finally, if it becomes clear that a user has no intention of making a sensible contribution to these forums or does so with an abrasive or combative attitude, they will be first warned and the banned, as it saves the time that would normally be spent moderating them.

-Personal Attacks

In order to keep the atmosphere on these forums positive, no personal attacks or insults will be tolerated. Heated debate is fine and understandable, but be sure to remember the difference between a passionate yet respectful discussion and a Red Dragon versus Blue Dragon flame war in which I have to wade in with my PFS+10 and bust your asses.

As an extention to this, please do not post the names of anyone you witness glitching or cheating online, we don't want to know.
Also, this applies to duping and cheating, do not ask for advice or give out information regarding how to so or you will be modded.

-Rules for Posting

If you have something to post and aren't sure where to post it, please don't put it EVERYWHERE. If we think it would be better in another location, I will move it. Duplicate threads and posts are not allowed and only serve to make it harder for people to find what they are looking for.

As always, these rules are open to change, and, like Stooge has already said, Moderators and Administrators have the final say.
