it would be able to deal decent damage with mag and could still deal normal physical damage
30 int for 5 spell slots
40 mag so you can deal plenty of damage
18 faith so you can cast 2nd chance and use ToB

Equipment:
RH1: Storm Ruler
LH1: Morion's Blade
RH2: ToB
LH2: empty

Ring 1: cling or mag sharpness
Ring 2: clever rat's ring

Armor:
Head Old Monk's Head wrappings
anything that keeps your end low

A hypermage work great becasue everyone already one hit's you wih your 9 vit so hypermode does not effect that, 2nd chance will also protect you from anything dangerous

Spells:
soul ray
firespray
ignite
poison cloud**

**can be used for healing mp because players tend to stay away from this spell

Miracles:
2nd chance

you will die in 1 hit so 2nd chance can prevent that

SL 80:

The Kenpachi build is pretty weak IMO. Great against noobs but not versus an experienced PVPer. I've enountered a few Kenpachi and have not lost to one yet. The problem is that it is built for a Makato and that sword needs an adj shield on the back. I like having morion or knights shield or DSS for my left hand the adj is usless in PVP IMO. I can trade hits with a Kenpachi Build and he'll die when I hit hyper and they don't or you'll get parried if I'm rocking my shield. Plus with the temple knight base the moon uchi 5 does more damage than the Makato and has the added bounus of magic damage to cut through warding.

Overall there are lots of activity at this level and I am getting a lot more PVP playtime per hour at this level. You can invade 14 and 42 pretty much nonstop. There is usually someone trying to pass those levels or farming on those levels.

I have 2 different builds at this level built for invasions. I don't really host at this level. I want non-stop action so if I'm not running through levels then I am invading.

Since there are lots and lots of noobs at this level I do have a rule. If I invade your world 2X and kill you and I get in a third time…I'll drop a nice weapon or some supplies for you….for being a good sport and to ease my own guilt of killing noobs.

Here are the most common mistakes I see at SL 80:
Rule #1 YOU MUST be able to do a full speed roll. I think this is the number 1 rule in DS PVP. No exceptions. I'd rather be naked and be able to roll than armored up and clank on the floor. No Roll = Death by BS.
Rule #2 If you use a large wep like DBS or MC don't use a shield. Go build a morion blade. Goes back to rule number 1 and you probably can't roll and you don't have enough end to block and swing a large wep at the same time. There are lots of MC with PFS and DBS with PFS or Bushwood shield set ups at this level…don't do it.

I usually run with the Secret Dagger. I'll break out bigger weps if I see a 3v1 coming….like a Blessed Claymore.

The Bless GA 5 hits for over 500 at this SL….almost as much as my 120 faith. Difference being less Vit and End.

I've also had a lot of success with my Level 64 faith knight and spellsword builds. However, those are nowhere near optimized since they're endgoal is SL 120, and my PvP wins are probably due to others not having their build complete either. I think under SL 80 also allows for more dragon weapons, so maybe I'll experiment with it a bit after getting more experience in the SL 120 tier.

I'll post my build later because I can't look at my exact stats.

Here is what I'm thinking. If the SL is 80 I would pvp with some in the 90 to 100 range and opponents would have SC by then. To have SC I would need to invest in INT and Faith. With limited points here are my options:

1) Faith Build with blessed weapons…I'm already invested with SC.
2) No SC more VIT and put points towards DEX or MAG.

I'm thinking VIT 30 and END 25 ish….
