To set up trading sessions to get a good weapon without losing one of your own good weapons. To clone a weapon you must summon a phantom (black or blue) and then have the phantom drop the weapon(s) and have the body pick them up. The phantom then proceeds to push the PS button then selects Quit Game. When they start back up Demon's Souls the phantom will still have the weapon and so with the body. Then you switch.
