Invading a game will usually just a person trying to find a way to stab you in the back whether its waiting behind monsters in your world or using the surroundings which is perfectly fine to me. The thing i find stupid is when you put down a red-eye stone and people summon you only to be ready to stab you in the back or find a way to kill you before you will be ready to fight. Meaning you still lose a soul-level for losing so lately i have not done red-eye PvP just for that reason. Anyone else having trouble with these cheap techniques?
Well, this has happened to me once or twice when PvPing, but its pretty uncommon. Whenever I do PvP, I make sure to Firestorm ASAP to make sure that I wont get backstabbed as I spawn.
If you didn't know…..firestorm=no respect…..
It is just the worst when players use firestorm in narrow areas with "fall to your death" situations everywhere like Latria or the final walkway to the false king
Well seeing as how the creators put firestorm in the game letting you know that it "damages and knocks back enemies" its obviously not a cheap way to win a battle. If you're laying down a red-eye stone thats one thing but if you are UNWILLINGLY invaded..its do what you can to win and thats all there is to it.
The phrase "Alls fair in love and war" just keep that in mind because I will not hesitate to use anything at my disposal to diminish a black phantom as that is why it was put in the game.
There are ways around firestorm and rage of god and if you don't know them you probably shouldn't be invading on levels that have the "fall to your death" situations as you so elegantly put.
Dude last night i saw pretty much what you were talking about.
I got summoned as a blue. Right when i got in the game I see summing black phantom.
The guy then just stands there and fire storms right when the black phantom gets there.
I guess the blue thought i would help and swarm him.
Well umm no lol i just ran away and watch as the black phantom who WAS A GOOD PLAYER. Recovered and OWNED the guy who tried to kill him cheaply. Then i got a thankyou from the phantom wich was awesome.
Speaking of no respect in pvp, I witnessed something earlier that is a worrying trend.
I joined a game as a blue, to find the host standing still and a black phantom ready to backstab me in the back.
Apparently it is now 'cool' to summon a BP friend (with the red-eye stone) who then kills the blue phantoms that the host can summon for free souls.
I was lucky that he sucked, I MC'd him to death and then white-eye stoned.

Dang, what is this world coming too, what happened t othe codes of battle and war?
Uhm …
"all is fair in love and war"
Ever hear that before? :D
This is, however, why I don't play PVP anymore. That and I am now old and no longer have the "twitch" factor I did when I was younger.
PS — I got the handle of stooge by playing Counterstrike in a clan. After the fourth time I bounced a flashbang of the top of a door into my entire team's face, they said "You are a <bleeping> stooge! Change your handle right now to Stooge". LOL. Been that way ever since.
Collusion with a BP is pretty much all wrong. Any form of "friendly" BP is just plain wrong. There are plenty of easy soul farmings out there. At least least it amounts to a fair one-on-one, and as a Blue Phantom coming in I always scan for evidence of a Black Phantom before relaxing guard and emoting a hello. If a player doesn't greet you coming in with an emote, assume trouble. BP collusion or not, being off-guard at the beginning of summoning is a bad plan. The BP knows you've been summoned and may have broken off from the main fight just to take you out too.
In the end, war is hell. Codes of battle and Geneva convention Rules are for the squeamish. I'm sure some Klingon said that at some point.
They went out the window around about the time someone discovered the Mirdan Hammer was a good weapon xD.

Lol i rarely use that i jsut use my north regalia, if you could look at that post please.
Northern Regalia? I haven't reall seen anybody do good with that weapon. Maybe we could red eye duel sumtime, so i can see what it's like to fight a NR user?
I am level 129, but i can delevel to 120 in no time
Oh yeah and my PSN is Rezarecshun(cool huh?)
I just treasure those moments when Rules of War, actually, infact, are followed by the person I am summoned by. Its just brings tears to my eyes when we both bow before starting the most epic duel ever.
Lol i think it actually makes it more fun, i mean surviving the attack of a person trying to just stab you in the back is okay but having a great battle between two good fighters whether you win or lose is more entertaining.
Hey guys, if you want to do arranged duels at SL 120, you can join the Hunter's Guild for DS chatroom. It's a community of honorable(except a few) PvPers, who just want to have a good fight. They're the ones who put their Blue or Red signs on the rock in the first area of 4-1. Any chatroom member can add you if you send them a friend request. You don't have to be good or great in PvP to become a member, since the point of the guild is to actually become better by dueling with people better than you. :)

what? Only soul level 120? Why is it 120 these days, it couldnt hurt for it to be sl 130 could it?
It won't at all, lol. You can still be summoned since the hosts are usually at around SL 120. It's good to have extra Soul Levels anyway, since a loss means an SL drained. And really, a lot of HG players are really good. :)

whats even worse is when people leave after you kill them
Yea, i find that extremely cheap and trashy. Its very childish when someone cant handle dying when being invaded, it ruins an aspect of the game when you have a hardcore RPG then you have the little kiddies jumping out to avoid death.
They don't really have a choice. You die, the server ends the session.
he's saying when people shut off their ps3 or turn off the game to avoid the encounter. IT is really trashy. And a lot of times I notice that BP do it as well. They'll invade and then see that they are up against 3 people and will try to fight and then turn off game before dying.
It's sad because I've been in some epic battles that I would have been satisfied even if I lost but I win and the person does that. It's really aggravating and completely "noobish"
I've even had some jerk do that after I bested him as a 3-3 boss summon black phantom! A fair fight! I think I earned my damn body back, thank you very much.
Idk about u guys but if I'm playing and some person invades my world and trys to bow and demand a fair fight I'm attacking you period. Your not gonna invade MY world and hope for a fair fight…LOL

I would agree with that for every stage except 4-1. When you BP hunt there, you KNOW invaders are looking for a good fight. 4-1 is the prime PvP stage. It doesn't matter that they used the Black Eye Stone; jumping them with 2 Blue Phantoms is not ok. People who try and justify that kind of fighting in 4-1 by saying "well, they invaded me" are being ridiculous. You were BP hunting, not playing the stage for real. You know better.
And LadyzPrince, this isn't directed at you as you didn't mention 4-1 in particular. Any other stage is fair game for cheap ganging or whatever. But in 4-1, people expect a good fight.
