Shields under the weapons dropdown?

I found myself confused when looking at the shield info because I went to the "Items & Armor" drop down expecting to find the shields listing, but it wasn't there. I found it when I looked under the "Weapons" drop-down. I know it's not a big deal, but I found it a little confusing because I thought shields were more like armor than weapons. Even though I know in Demon's Souls you certainly can hit people with them and so in that way it is a weapon. Anyone else think that was weird or I am just nuts? Thanks.

Since they're equippable into a hand slot they are defined as weapons, so we just put them where the game says they should go. You'll see it's the same for the wiki too.

I was thinking about this the other day, and of course the wiki has them in the right place since that's how the game treats them, but maybe it would be a good idea to have the link on the sidebar say "Weapons / Shields" so people don't have to think too hard to find them.

I second Chue Tao's suggestion. They're definitely weapons, though. They can parry and bash, and the Spiked Shield actually cuts.
