I am almost done with the game and i have yet to be invaded or summoned is my server just empty or what?

The game's multiplayer is very innovative, but its way of inviting friends into your game is much more difficult than just sending an invite like in games such modern warfare 2 ,etc.
Actually you should also know the rules of how invasion/summoning works. It's VERY odd that you haven't been summoned or invaded once through your entire run. Have you placed down your blue markers or see bloodstains/red messages ever? Are you in body form mainly? etc.
Two thoughts: if you are missing bloodstains and message signs the game thinks you're online but your playing offline. Quit the game and restart it and it should reconnect to the server.
Thought two: I've gone through a game with one character who had 23 invasions and lost two, and another character who had two. Supply and demand. The games been out for a while and there may be fewer players on a given day.
PvP does not start at SL 120. I had those 23 invasions in NG. It does get more frequent in NG+ because the players are better and have more confidence in their skills.
Actually i do have some problems too for pvp. I'm SL 125 since i read that this is the most common one for pvp (i suppose that increasing it will automatically banish me from any on line interaction) but when i try to Black phantom usually 90% of invasion fails, when i'm in body form, i hardly get invaded.
So my questions are:
- There is something i shd do with my soul level?
- I'm italian with the US copy of the game, does it make any difference?
- Is there any word in which pvp is more common? (usually i try it in 4.1. 4.2., 3.2 and so on)
Granting you're trying to invade in 4-1…
Possible Reasons:
- you may be playing at US off peak times
- you may be disconnected from the server (try pressing SELECT and if nothing pops out, then you are definitely disconnected; if the SELECT box does pop out, try going to the Nexus and back)
- your SL may be too high, since most BP hunters stay at around SL 120, and people say that you can't invade players with SL's lower than yours
- something is wrong with your connection - try portforwarding and/or make a static ip address on your PS3
- if you are sure that nothing is wrong with the above stuff I mentioned, maybe only a few people are playing Demon's Souls (blame it on FFXIII and GOW3, lol)

Yeah, generally all the PvP'ers that are left cap at SL 120. But, with the forumla for invqading restrictions, anybody SL 98 - 42 should be able to invade them.
I still PvP a lot, and in the last week, have only met about 12 different players :| Most of the people are gone. But once the hype on FF13 settles, I think people will trickle back to DS.

Looks like most of the people who kinda dont have many people to play with live in europe (like me) i think timezones can explain alot xD
I'm in the UK and i'ts my impression that there is a great deal more pvp action to be had on the asian version.
That said, I've only been playing this version for a few days, so maybe I just got lucky.
Also lots of 2-2 & 5-2 invasions, which is unusual in my experience with the US v.
I don't know how any of this works, just my limited experience for what it's worth.
If you are online at sl1-120, its more about where you are. Most frequent places getting invaded are 4-1, 4-2, 1-3, and 1-4
