I've found an easy way to find these stones…
In The Tower of Latria in 3-2 you can find a Crystal Gecko in the area after the swamp.
Just go up the stairs where you'll meet a BP Mind Flyer, on the top there are some Facebugs and the Crystal Gecko…just kill the Facebugs and run in the direction of the Gecko…trying to escape he wil suicide falling on the ground…you just have to go back to the stairs where he has fallen and grab the object.
I've found twice a piece of Chunk and a piece of Pure Moonlight Stone, and i was able to forge a Moon Flamberge +5 ^^

I forgot to say that it works even in PWWT…

I hardly classify this as easy, but it's the one of two spots that one can get Chunks and Pure Moonlightstone. The other is the Crystal Gecko outside of the Old Monk's room.

Yes but the one outside the Old Monk's Room doesn't respawn so easy, and rarely drops Pure Moonlight Stones :D

I don't get what you mean it "doesn't respawn so easy". It's right outside the door…

And all my Pures I've ever gotten (about 5 across various games) came from that Gecko.

That Gecko appeared just 3 times, now all the time I go to the Old Monk Archstone it's not there…I even tried to reach the Old Monk Archstone from Maneater Archstone but it's the same…it's disappeared *_*
Anyway, I don't need anymore Moonlight stones so no problem

Very common method when farming gecko in 3-2
3-2 Gecko Guide
Press Ctrl+F and type down 3-2.

By the way, I've gotten 2 pures from the 3-3 gecko and 0 pures from the one in 3-2.

Any of you willing to trade me 1 pure Moonlight stone? i will trade for any weapon or stone you need? please
iv used up all the spawns of geckos in 3-2 3-3 and only got chunks :(
im sl 90-ish
