I really don't like Brushwood for some reason… Is it a good armor for Royalty?

Dont ever use that piece of garbage Brushwood armor, speed > armor at all times no matter what you are fighting, if you are a male, then the best armor for you is by far the armor from Old King Doran, as long as you have 50% or less equipped that your total then you can wear whatever you want, but dont stack very heavy armor unless you want to get easily butchered.
I've seen a bunch of great players use great ring of strength and eternal warriors ring with the Dark Silver set. they aren't that bad at all. A lot of players(like you) are making this game boring by only using Old King Doran's set, so for a change they might use different armor so we all don't look the same
Old King Dorans set ZERO stamina penalty. Anything else more than that. With OKD armor, eternal warriors ring and a shield up i regenerate stamina very quickly. More than with any other armor on.
My entire second playthrough and half of my third I used the full brushwood armour set with the shield. If you have the stamina to use it while still running then definately. For PvP you'll probably lose but still it's pretty fun to try.
I like going royal, using great ring of strength, and then using warding and just putting up my tower shield. it's hilarious how long it takes to kill me, and the flame message that come after that are ridiculous.
try wearing the helmet only or something,

Brushwood armor is 2 heavy (and makes ya look fat and have a big butt) however good defence armor for those with high stamina and weight ability *snicker*…..but try king doran's armor, that 1 is good if your 1 for more stamina and running rather than walking all the time.

personally i like the armor because i'm still able to roll quickly with the brushwood set with ring of great strength. In PvE I always use it because stamina regeneration isn't such a big deal and it does have really good defense
