This weapon has the "Normal" damage icon in the item description, but on this site it says it does slashing damage, yet it has no blade so I don't think this is right lol.

Sure it's heavy and doesn't have any stat scaling but the upshot of that is that it doesn't matter if you're barely strong enough to wield it. You'd need your str bonus on the dragon bone smasher to be +140 dmg before it's AS strong as the Dozer Axe…and those stat points could be effectively spent elsewhere.

Further, the real strength of the weapon lies it it's considerable knock-back. It seems like the weight of the weapon and the shield one blocks with is taken into consideration in calculating how much stamina the victim needs to successfully block, and one swing from the Dozer Axe will plow right through almost anything save someone with a Tower Shield and even more endurance than you (which is likely to be a lot if you're using the Dozer Axe)
