Anyone else get annoyed by pvp when you get summoned as a black phantom only to find that the host has two blue phantoms already summoned and waiting? I think its kinda lame. I mean its one thing if I invade (and I don't often) and the person has two phantoms and they just obliterate me..thats just bad luck for me.

But if I'm going in with the intent to "duel" isn't duel by another name just "dual" meaning TWO? O_o as in 1 v 1 fighting? Not to mention its gotta be aggravating for the host to want to gain souls by dueling only to have your blue phantoms get in that final blow stealing your precious, life-enriching delicious souls…

By invading, you take that chance. If you have the right skills, you can probably take them down but just like the rest of the game, it's not going to be a walk in the park.

you didn't even read his opening post…

he mentioned that it is ok if your outnumbered during invasions. its totaly obvious that this is the case because hosts dont let themselves invaded by choice and you have somewhat of a surprise effect. invading is dirty and defending should also be. using black eye stone is like saying "i gonna fuck your game up now and everything that comes with it".

but he talks about using Red Eye Stone and then get attacked by 3 ppl. its poor. red eye stones are made for duelling. for a good 1on1 fight or for training, tournaments etc. its totaly poor to activate a red soul sign and then backstab your opponent with 2 blues. a red sign says "hey want a good and fair fight?".

It really irritates me too…makes me wish I could carry Firestorm around all the time.

I also agree with the "Invade = all bets off" point, except for the 4-1 stage. In 4-1, when somebody invades, you know they're looking for a good fight. Some people justify it with the above points, but it's just not right. If you're BP hunting in 4-1, play fair.

Eh, I don't mind this as much. Only because this just happened to me, but I cast firestorm as soon as I was summoned and killed all 3 at once.

Well I'm pretty sure we ALL hate firestorm, so no need to worry. No need to brag about killing people with firestorm so……………………

We do? O_O Why do we all hate Firestorm? There are much, much cheaper moves out there, like dual katana stunlock, rolling axe attack and DBS sprint, and Firestorm is what you hate on? Oh jeez. Lol.

And there is certainly reason to brag about killing people with Firestorm! Do you know how hard it is to actually hit somebody with it in higher levels? Very! Lol ^_^

so true nick i mean when i see someone touch the ground i'm rolling lol firestorm isn't hard to avoid when so many players use it on you however when the place is narrow like narrow narrow then your chances are small lol

If you get caught in a narrow place, that's the skill of the Mage ^_^ But the only times I really take a hit from Firestorm anymore are when I get ganged on and don't see it coming.

Totally agree.

If you put a soul sign down you want a duel. At the risk of a soul level.

If you invade all bets are off because for the most part the invader really has nothing to lose. You probably just died in the nexus with your souls waiting for you all saved up nicely. So yes while in 4 - 1 you may be looking for a good fight if you get ganged up on you dont lose those souls and can just invade again.

I hate it when people invade with 0 souls, invading as a BP is already without a lot of risk so why not make it a little more exciting :).

OT though; I totally agree, that's probably the reason less and less red signs are showing up(or maybe it's just me being in a different time zone and all). The other day I was trying to host some fights and I summoned this deadwizard guy, the problem was that the blue phantom I summoned before didn't quite understand the whole idea and immediately jumped deadwizard which resulted in me looking like someone that sets up ambushes, which sucks.

^This is the reason I don't summon random blues in 4-1, they're almost all used to jumping. They're like saying "Summon me and I'll help you 2/3 vs 1 invaders and Red signs!"

I would say it happens you lay a red stone you got to be ready for whatever is coming your way. When I first started playing I can remember times when I would jump red stones cause I was not any good at pvp. So most of the time the players that jump on you are inexperienced and don't really know what they are doing anyway. So that in its self gives you a chance to do major damage. If you kill a 3 player gank squad you know you are doing something right because most of the time you will lose. Sometimes you will win regardless it's good practice and will make you a better pvp.
