If you could add a spell and miracle what would they be?
list soul it would cost (or price) and any modifications to other spells if it takes the same soul as another

Spell: Web shot - adds slow down to enemy so they can't roll, run, and move extremely slow - armored demon's soul (change fire spray to flame lurker's)

Miracle: Blessed Shield - increases shield hit res - Tower Knight's Demon's Soul

Nice thread, & i like your 2 spells. I'd like a spell that gives you more vitality, say 500 HP for 60 seconds, the purchase price would be 100,000 souls. And I would love a spell that allows you to soulsuck your self & allows you to decide wich stat would drop by 1, the purchase price would be 2 x Garl Vinland's Soul.

Barrier (Tower Knight) - Creates a temporary light shield in front of the caster. Works similar to a regular shield, HitRes and all. Probably not a very practical spell; it would be too overpowered. But a cool idea ^_^

Teleport (Fool's Idol's Soul) - Move a short distance in any direction. Works through walls and enemies.

Flame Veil (Red Hot Demon's Soul) - Enemies that make contact with the caster take fire damage, like with the lizards and Flamelurker.

Meteor Storm (Storm Demon's Soul) - Meteors strike an area. Another overpowered spell, but it could be somewhat mitigated by shadows appearing a few seconds before the strike.

You can just tell I love Magic ^_^

Spell: Stinky Hide (Dirty Colossus) - Covers your body with stinky yet powerful armor created by filth. Lasts 120 seconds. (60 MP)

Spell: Storm Barb (Storm King) - Shoot a barb like the Mantas' ones, penetrating multiple foes, much like Soul Ray. (25 MP)

Spell: Duplicate (Fool's Idol) - Create 2 clones of yourself, with same equipment, but with half your stats. Automatically vanish after 180 seconds, if not killed by then. (200 MP)

Miracle: Turncoat (Old Monk) - When invaded by a Black Phantom, cast this spell and summon the closest player in your area that is inside your level cap. When the Black Phantom is killed, the summoned player returns to his world and is rewarded with a Storied Soldier's Soul. (100 MP)

Duplicate and Turncoat would be awesome ^_^

Duplicate…even half the stats would be a bit excessive, what with the 3-on-1 or possible 5-on-1 with Blue Phantoms. Maybe they could have 1/4 the stats. They would also have to follow a certain AI behavior, and we all know how much the 3-3 default BP sucks! Still would be cool though ^_^

Turncoat would cost a hell of a lot of MP, and probably not work half the time :| Maybe it could work on normal enemies? THAT would be cool. Turncoat the BP Mind Flayer in 3-2 and he'd get you through the whole stage! Just be his meat shield ;)

Hmm yeah, maybe summon the mobs around you, why not.. :D
And duplicate.. Maybe when invaded by a BP as well, would be too excessive if you had 3 more blue phantoms with you when you fight a boss and duplicate yourself xD
Also the stats would be umm, what your player's stats were when you were half your current soul level, dunno :/

Wow, a lot of great spells already up
Here are a few a just thought of:

Rain: cancels all fire, bosses are exceptions - costs 10,000

Speed up: increases attack speed by 50% takes 2 slots - Old Hero's Demon's Soul

Force Field: greats field that enemy cannot pass, does not wear off until it has taken 500 damage - mixed demon's soul

Magic Sword: creates sword completely from magic, catalyst in left hand, open right hand - Yellow Demon's Soul

Yeah, nice thoughts, especially Speed Up. I always get mad when my char attacks like a fuckin turtle and the enemies pwn me -_-

I just thought of something, theres like 4 or 5 fire spells & only 2 Soul Arrow/Ray options. I'd love there to be 2 more upgrades to the Soul spell.

Soul Zoom: Allows you to press L1 with catalyst in left hand and you can zoom in on long range targets, accurate, long range, lock on free spell. 2 Spell Slots.

Soul Line: Like Soul Ray but a nice wide line, say 6 feet wide. Great for PvP mages as the enemy will find it harder to roll away. 3 Spell Slots.

Edit: Forgot about Homing Soul Arrows.

Homing Soul Arrow - Some adjustments. One, the arrows should not fire during a backstab. They should wait until you stand up or something. Two, they shouldn't fire out of their own range. I mean…really? What were the designers thinking? And three, if you are surrounded by enemies, the arrows should not all attack the same freaking one. Seriously. They should split up. If any enemy takes two arrows to kill, two arrows attack it. If 3, three arrows. If two enemies thta take two arrows each attack you, they should seperate accordingly.

THAT would make HSA much better. If they all attack the same enemy when it only takes one for a kill, why bother casting it? You could cast Soul Ray for much less MP.

Maybe it would be difficult to predict or read what HP the enemy has, so they didn't spend time working on it.
Another idea would be if you had the catalyst on either hand and whenever you wanted a Soul Arrow to hit the opponent you just had to press L1, and a single arrow would leave, so you can fire at will and while moving ;)

Yeah L2 basically has no action, or it hits with the catalyst (pretty much useless) so why not, maybe you can cast Firestorm and when the opponent gets hit, if he still lives, throw a couple of Arrows on him :D

L2 with a catalyst is fun, killed BP Scirvir with it
it also good for breaking false walls so u don't need to switch just for that to a weapon

And whenever I am to hit the wall in Shrine of Storms, to get to Blige, the Silver Skeleton does it for me by rolling xD

@Alien Yeah it's unused too I think… It would cause a fuck-up though, if you press it kinda strong and carelessly you might get a wrong step, and what if you are on a ledge or something? Better with L2 ;)

Pact of Salvation - Similar to warding, but works on only magical damage. (Maiden Astraea)
Allant's essence - Each attack creates a small AoE. Short duration. (Old King Allant)
The Old One's Power - Caster gets a 25% attack increase, but a 50% defense decrease. Takes 3 slots and 150 mana. (Beast Demon's Soul)
Magical Stasis - Creates a stasis in front of the caster. Lasts 5 seconds, stuns whoever runs over it. There can only be one stasis per caster at a time. (Fool's Idol)

All I can think of, that wouldn't be horribly unbalanced.

Lightning Blast- paralyzes target foe for 5 seconds. Same as Mind Flayer's attack. 50MP (Fool's Idol's Soul- Yuria the Witch)

Holy Fire- extremely long range wide area of effect pillar of fire. Long cast time. 100MP (Blue Dragon's soul- Saint Urbain)

Martyrdom- Sacrifice your own body in order to heal all allies. Instant cast, knocks caster down. Heals based on Faith power (roughly 1/3rd of power). 40MP, 300HP (Blueblood Demon's Soul- Sain Urbain)

Nice thoughts, I would say that Martyrdom doesn't knock down, instead he slightly cuts his palm and then casts the spell, so that his blood is delivered in the spell etc etc (maybe too Hollywood-like xD )

Martydom is a nice idea, but sadly, healing items are so commonly used that Relief and this spell would find no use :(

Lightning Blast…yes! Brilliant.

Holy Fire would be a bit overpowered though :| Sounds like a big Firestorm lol ^_^

I would just like a healing spell that could save someone from the middle of a fatal combo. Say that a BP invades, and gets the host into a stunlock or knockdown chain. Or, even if they gets mobbed by several enemies at once, or cornered by a boss (which is harder to stop by jumping in with your own attacks, and I've watched several hosts die by not being careful enough to avoid this).

A healing spell that could instantly cast (as opposed to relief), and not have such a small range (also, relief) would actually have some utility, I think.

As for the fire, I was thinking something similar to the dragon's breath attacks (so it goes in a line, rather than a big circle around the caster), and that I wish Faith had another damage spell besides Wrath of God. It's just such a shame that those optional souls aren't utilized for anything.

Stun. Can only be cast as a black phantom. It radiates an area like banish or rage of god, only larger. Stuns all blue phantoms in the area for 15 seconds. Blue phantoms cannot be attacked while stunned. 50 MP, Fool's Idol soul. 2 miracle slots.
