So copy and pasting from other thread since this got created afterward
I love this game with a passion. I had followed the title since its inception and was only delighted to receive an early copy in Jan 2009. It hasn't left my ps3 since. I have written many guides and found a lot of info that I hope has helped many, however there were some issues with wikidot that made me decide to scale back last year.
As a vote of confidence to the new admins and their attitude, and thanks to Zahmen who invited me to try out the forums, I will see if there is anything I can do to help anyone out.
So about my relationship with DS: My main account has over 2000 hours of gameplay and, even though I have created many characters since, I still hold my first clumsy build dearly (who is now maxed out of couse so it doesn't matter anyway). I died more times than I can remember in 1-2, from the dogs!
I prefer melee and my favorite class is Knight, as they become deadly at level 200 when going hybrid.
My main knight is a righteous girl with a Meat Cleaver and a Spike Shield. If you see her and you are red I recommend you run. She never Black Phantom' so all of you righteous survivors are safe in your own worlds.
My second favored class is thief because their starting quipment looks awesome :p
My main thief is an outcast assassin, expert in sneaking up behind you to backstab you with Baby's Nail. He could kill you in 1 hit with other weapons, but he thinks it is more amusing to see you die slowly whilst he quietly dissapears into cloaking.
My third prefered class is the Royal
My main royal is the last standing aristocrat in Boletaria and an Arcane Warrior. She has no ethics or morals and is equally skilled with spells as with a blade, often bluffing as a "spell only" character to fool you into getting close with AMF.
Up to now, I have tried 35 successful builds, of which 15 are aimed at level 80 and the rest at a variety of points. Hybrids are aimed at level 200+ so I suppose not very popular in NA version.
Would love to know what sorts of classess, moods and approaches you all like to take
