if you hit someone with an acid cloud, do their things break right away or does the durability of their items go down by a certain amount?
If you get someone with Acid Cloud, their armor will lose durability over time, up to a certain amount (determined by your magic stat, I believe).
Oh I thought that acid cloud didn't really rely on how much magic power one has. Thought it was get enough for it and it will stay the same even with higher magic power. Well you learn something new every day lol. But to answer question, its a DOT(damage over time) effect, so its not immediate that ur opponent's armor and weapons go down(plus acid cloud can provide a few seconds cover in pvp).

Well, I never said that as a fact, and please don't take it as one, as I was probably wrong.
Well it would be logical because it cant do HP damage, but durability damage. So higher magic, the less time it takes for durability to go from 100% to below 30%.

Well, Poison Cloud and Death Cloud don't appear to scale with Magic, so why should Acid Cloud?
All three also have a fixed duration based on the damage they inflict also, for example:
Death Cloud lasts for 10 Minutes/3600 damage.
Poison Cloud lasts for 3 Minutes/905 damage.
Presumably it behaves like the other Cloud spells.

The problem with acid cloud is it does not display damage.
The only way you know its working is when the enemy is switching weapons.
I use acid cloud for 2 things
First cover. Acid cloud seems to be very thick and blocks line of sight well.
Second break ARMOR. It does mow through katanas but most large weapons take FOREVER to break. Trust me i have tried it.
But it does not take long for it to break down armor. So once their armor was broke i then switched weapons and moved in for the kill.
