Summary:

First of all, I just registered today and I must say this site is full of useful info. So basically I am a newbie in this site. And already, I have a question about World 5.

Ok so I have a pure white tendency in World 5 (Valley of Defilement) and I completed the Human Selen Vinland/BP Garl Vinland sidequest (which needs a pure white) at the same time (I killed BP Garl and left Selen alone after giving the crest). I also got the Moonlight Sword from the slug nest. But then, I was suprised that I couldn't get to the other trophy weapon Istarelle. The ladder isn't anywhere to be found to where it's supposed to be. AND I DID NOT DIE IN BODY FORM AFTER I GOT PURE WHITE TENDENCY. Well, I committed suicide in the Nexus but I know it's not supposed to affect WT's in any of the worlds. What's going on? I tried playing online and offline but to no avail.

Am I missing something round here? Thank you guys. And please don't judge me as being idiotic or stupid in such complex RPG game. I also need to learn. I am in a new game plus and my SL's 130. I have an all around build so far.

*Be it known that I kill bosses in spirit form so that there is less risk and when I get my body back, I commit suicide in the Nexus (which is not supposed to affect and WT, right?).*

Correct suiciding in nexus does not effect WT. Can you lay down a blue stone at bosses in 5-x and assist others to gain positive WT and get access to the weapon?

Edit: Oh I just remebered I had to kill the Meat Cleaver weilding BP in 5-2 to get the right tendancy to get the spear. Be it know that BP owned me many times, so be careful with him and lure em to an island so you can roll around.

If you've played offline and in soul form throughout you should be pure white and the ladder will be there. However, if not you may be 80/90% white and therefore killing the BP in the swamp should get you there.
Remember, if you went online and returned to the Nexus during/after any of the 5-1, 5-2 and 5-3 quests you could have dropped your tendency a little in line with the server average for world 5.
In all honesty, the spear is poor as an offensive weapon. I have an Istarelle+5 but the damage stays the same (upgraded or not). Only the resistances are improved, which are substantial. Useful in world 5 (if you have no lotus or spells) but nowehere else, I'd say.
However, you need it for the Trophy so I can understand you wanting to get it.
