Hello, I am currently working on a system for Massive Co-op (MCOP)in Demon’s Souls. If you are interested please follow these guidelines.
You will need…
1. A new PSN ID. This ID will be designated for MCOP Only. Please keep this PSN private and do not post it yet.
2. Create a Main Host Character (MHC). This will be the character that stays in Human Form and Hosts games. Then create two (2) Blue Phantom Characters (Blue Characters or BC’s for short). Use these to join up with Hosts.
3. Defeat Phalanx. Obtain Blue Eyes Stone with each profile.
4. Add psn DS-MCOP, once we get 50 people we can work out the weekly schedules. ^__^
Once we get enough players to join we will begin the MCOP Weekly Schedule(WS) and Monthly Events (ME).
Weekly Schedules and Level Cap:
Each week we will have a Level Cap (LC). It’s okay to go a few soul levels beyond the LC but not too far. Also we will keep the LC low so that players will have to rely upon party systems to defeat bosses.
The Weekly Schedule will start on Monday and end Sunday (Midnight Central)
Monday through Thursday will be Blue Character day. This is the time to get both your BC’s past the designated bosses and levels so they may be summoned by hosts.
Friday through Sunday will be Main Host Character days. MHC’s will be doing all of the summoning during these days. They will be the most important aspect of MCOP. In short, we need dedicated MHC’s. On the other hand you may choose to become a dedicated BC.
MHC days (Fri., Sat., Sun.,) will begin at 5pm Central and end at 10pm Central. This will give players a good window of time to play MCOP. Blue Character days have no restrictions except for Level Cap.
Monthly Events:
Each month we will try to obtain Pure White Soul Tendency and/or Pure Black Soul Tendency in designated areas.
Dedicated Main Host Characters:
A dedicated MHC player will have two(2) characters that are always in Human Form. These players will get parties started and keep them going throughout the MHC days. You can have more than two MHC’s if you’d like. But please refrain from beating the designated areas in one day. We are going to try and spread out the gameplay so everybody can be involved.
Dedicated Blue Phantom Characters:
You can have an entire roster of BC’s if you’d like. You can defeat most of the Archstones. Only restriction is to stay below the LC (or a little higher). BC’s may also Host games if they cannot defeat a certain boss (For example: Flamelurker at NG++++)
Getting Started:
Log into your MCOP PSN account.
Add all MCOP players to your friends list. (List will be continually updated)
Monday-Thursday: Get your Blue Characters past the designated archstones. You don’t have to do it all at once.
Fri-Sun: Load up your Main Host Character.
Update your PSN status to Host, area and availability. (Example: Hosting in 3-2 Open, or Hosting: 5-1 Filled)
Message BC's. Arrange to summon them.
Defeat bosses and collect souls ^__^
Load up your BC and look for a Host to join.
Rinse, repeat
Who can play?
Anybody, just follow the above steps. Find out the Weekly Schedule and Level Cap. Grind levels to catch up and join in on the action.
What MCOP ‘is’ and ‘is not’
The objective of MCOP is to eventually reach the last play through cooperatively. This means keeping a low soul level and relying on Demon’s Souls party system. If there is a need to up the LC then we will.
MCOP is not for PvP. But PvP won’t be restricted as long as you stay within the Level Cap.
Please discuss Level Caps. Let’s not make it too easy or too hard. I also want players to have builds that are not geared towards PvP but for PvE. You can have a tank, spellcaster, thief/backstabber, Brawler, Close quarters fighter, ect,…
Let’s try to realize the full potential of Demon’s Souls.
Tips
Reached the level cap? Don't know what to do with all those souls? Invest in Spices and healing items. Buy Stones for upgrades from vendors. Purchase arrows and buy all Miracles and Spells.
Since this won't be PvP you might want to open up all Miracle and Spell slots. But keep in mind, Black Phantoms may also invade once the Level Cap reaches the PvP range. But hey, we'll have a full party to deal with them.
More to come…
