So i started a vanity RP character for fun and would like to play the game using only my fluted armor kite shield. I know using only my longsword would be pretty hard so i expanded my arsenal Longswords and knight swords. I am trying to keep my stats limited and a somewhat low soul level focusing on just vit and end. What are some ways or suggestions to strenghten my attack power using these swords under these parameters. Thanks

Dragon path would be best then, honestly. If you are remaining a low SL with just high VIT/END then dragon would be best as it doesn't scale with any stats and it does tend to have some of the higher +5 weapon damage totals. They just become very weak later in PvP lvls because of the most common armours used, Ancient Kings and Binded, both have very high flame resistance and the endurance is usually around a 30-40 standard, which adds another good chunk of extra fire resistance.

EDIT: Dragon Weapon's have the highest +5 upgrade damage without the scaling that other weapons have. Just wanted to clear that up.

Awesome thank you very much for the insight. Would a moon longsword do reasonable dmg with low magic stat? This strictly a PvE character so i am not trying to max dmg just get more effective against bosses. I have another character i am usung for pvp

I have a moon knight sword +5 on one of my characters that has 21 magic i believe

It does a little over 300 damage. Like 302 i believe. So yes low magic can still be good.

I guess its not a long sword but guess saying yes moon would be good

Off the weapons page on this wiki is a good spreadsheet for what you are doing: link

Spreadsheet shows with 10 points in magic, Moon Longsword+5 does 268 dmg and Dragon Longsword+5 does 302. However because of different resistances in different worlds I would recommend getting both a fire and magic dmg longsword anyways. So really… get both.
