I am having trouble getting the wizards to sell me spells. I can get the white magic one to work but no matter how much I level up magic& intelligence I am not able to buy from them. Is it the game or me.

When you say "white magic" do you mean the miracles? You might want to check and see if you have both a Talisman of God and a Catalyst-either wood or silver. The Talisman of God allows you to perform miracles and the Catalyst, magic spells. I can't remember if they just won't sell to you until you have the proper equipment available.
What character type did you pick first? Royals come with a catalyst. So do Magicians. Priests come with a talisman. So do Temple Knights.
If you need a catalyst-I think the first one you will have access to is in 1-2. It is on top of the first tower on the Lord's Path, which is the long bridge where the dragon flies overhead spraying fire. There are 2 bowmen up there as well.
Ok, forgive me but I may seem stupid here-it's all an act.
First, I am assuming you have enough souls available. Next, what happens when you go to the guy (Sage Freke's Apprentice) to buy spells? Does he say anything? Does the box open up that shows "learn spell", "remember spell"? Are you able to use the spell you already have-Soul Arrow? I'm assuming also that the spells you are trying to learn/buy are ones that you need to use regular demon's souls for and not boss demon's souls. What spells are you trying to buy?
Make sure you are talking to the right guy and I think your intelligence has to be above 10, which it sounds like it is.
Exactly. When you say buy the game uses "learn" for that. To use the spell, you have to select "remember spell" and make sure you have slots available. If not, clear out a slot for use or up your stats so you have more slots.
Does anyone know what is wrong with my profile? I've learned all of the miracles but I didn't get the trophy.
go kill a primeval demon, and you'll be able to learn a spell that requires 3 colorless souls
