St Urbain and Patches gone from Nexus but wasn't Yurt

I'd read about this but now has happened to me. Anyone know of a solution to this old bug?

St Urbain and Patched have disappeared from the Nexus in NG. I killed Yurt a long time ago and had been buying arrows from Patches, and swapping miracles with Urbain for a while.
I've read that this is similar to the Ed disappearing act but is there any new solution to this problem aside from starting a NG?
Btw, I really didn't want to do start a new game as I was keeping this character in the SL 30s.

Also, the black phantom in the pit in 4-2 keeps respawning. Thing is, I don't really need Darkmoonstone chunks. And I did all the Patches sequences in 2-1 and 4-2 prior to him returning to the nexus.

Any ideas, anyone…?

Well, Urbain is dead, that much you can easily ascertain. The BP in the pit in 4-2 only respawns if he's dead.
As for Patches, I have no idea. I've never had any NPC disappear on me before in quite a few hours of gameplay, so I can't really advise you on how to get him back. Are you definately sure you spoke to him after both events and he isn't just standing there in one of the levels? Also, I take it you meant 2-2?

Ilkar is definitely right about Urbain. However, Patches does have a tendency to disappear; it has happened to me a couple of times. Unfortunately Patches is glitched, the only way I have found to get him back is to start a new game. My only advice is to stock up on arrows from him as soon as possible in case this happens again.

On a side note I have seen Patches reappear in 2-2 after clearing the level and having him in the nexus; i assume another glitch. It doesn't hurt to check.

Yep, sorry, I meant 2-2 for patches. I'm sure I checked there since he disappeared but I'll recheck anyway.
Pity about Urbain, don't know how he disappeared. Luckily, only miracle I've got assigned is 2nd chance.

I hope these bugs will be fixed in the EU version, but I'm guessing they won't be.
Well, looks like I'l have to try and beat NG+ on SL36, wish me luck.

Btw, Mephistopheles was active in my game in the Nexus and I had aggravated her. She doesn't kill NPCs, if left alone, does she? I've had her in other games and done her quests, then killed here for the ring. In this game, I wanted to keep my NPCs but I was going to use her to take my magic back down to 6.

The BP responds if you kill Urbain before him. This is the best way to farm for Stone of ephemeral eyes, and u can collect souls from the reaper on your way down.
