Straight to the point:
I WANT TO SEE A NO RESTRICTION TOURNAMENT AT SL (?)
nothing out of bounds and no complaining:
-yes Scraping Spear
-yes Acid Cloud
-yes Stun Lock
-YES TO EVERYTHING
no stupid grass limits
only limit is glitches, NO GLITCHES
you complain you are out
don;t like the idea or think it is stupid, keep it to yourself, because i don't want to deal with all of that crap
like the idea want to see it happen, i will be taking a count and if i can get at least 16 willing players, i (and hopefully someone else) will see what can be done

and for the record, I DON'T CARE IF YOU GET BACK STABBED FROM 100 FEET AWAY, ITS CALLED LAG AND I HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT ALL THE TIME

edit: there will be 2 restrictions out of the reasoning of PvP:
no banish (defeats the point)
no AMF (no lagging out)

If it's an auto-surrender why bother allowing it? By the way, the most often reason I see AMF not allowed is because it causes people to "lag out" which leaves the fight unresolved. As for everything else, go ahead for an all out, no restricted brawl to see who is best at their preferred strategy. The best limit would most likely be 120 as thats where most people stop their PvP builds around.

AMF? Really? Have you ever been in a game where someone decided to use AMF? Do you want everyone to disconnect? As for Banish, it just defeats the purpose of the tournament which is to enjoy PvP in an organised, supervised manner not who can get the first lagstab and cast Banish on wake up. If you get rid of AMF and Banish, and the SL bracket is 120, then I may join.

ITT: Tournament creator who wants to look cool by not restricting the general things the community has decided are unfair, but doesn't want to nerf his own build.
You should totally join the HG.
AMF and Banish shouldn't be allowed, period. Anyone who has ever even watched a video of a tournament should know that well.
I, like most people, have no problem with Scraping Spear or Acid Cloud - I'm not a Katana user.
Also, I would love to see a tournament that restricted stunlock, the idea is hilarious to begin with, so no worries there.

Make it around SL 120 and I will happily join, it'll make a nice change from me hosting the tournaments around here.

Even though I find it funny that you ordered everyone not to criticise you when this is a public forum and the current format of this tournament is asking for it.

@_Ryuzaki_ , AMF is a strategy i used once, not for the lag, but to stop light or cursed BBS
BUT, i never knew about the lag out, because i never have, it may be taken out, i am thinkng about doing connection tests before the tourney, just to make sure everyone can deal with it

@Iklar anyone with half a brain could figure out that if you enter a PvP tournament and use Banish (the anti-PvP spell) you most likely will not continue in the tournament as for AMF look up
any player can make a build that uses stun lock, you hate it or think it gives player an advantage, use it yourself, it will not be banned for this tournament, but may be in a future one
120 will most likely be the lvl (meaning i have to make a new char), i will get a chunk of people that way
and also, looking cool is for people who care about others opinions, personally, i would prefer if everyone thought i was weird, strange, and belong in a crazy hut, sooner than i would want to be popular, looking cool is a desperate form of saying, "Help, i have no friends and i am doing what ever it takes to make some!"
no complaining is so i don't get a post saying that "this is stupid, hate the idea, i am not joining," you have a valid arguement, making it ok, but i don't want a bunch of repeat posts on here saying the exact same thing
Lastly, read the thread title, TOURNAMENT WANTED, meaning i am hoping someone else will make it, but if it comes to it, i will make it

As the resident Tournament hoster around here, I'd be happy to make it when I have time to go through the organisational hell that is getting a whole bunch of people to kick each others asses at the right time and at the right place.
However, if I am going to be in charge of it, I am definately going to be banning some things. Namely, AMF (Did you seriously tell me to look it up? Or did you imply you've looked it up when you want to ALLOW it in a Tournament? The mind boggles…) and Banish (To stop people using it period, rather than playing a game of cat and mouse and waiting to see if anyone will dare to use it before disqualifiying them).
I have never and will not ever impose a limit on consumables, and I fought tooth and nail to get people to accept the use of the Scraping Spear as a viable PvP strategy in the last Wiki one, to no avail.

We limit second chance -otherwise it can get really boring-
We don't allow dark moon grass
We don't allow acid cloud

why not allow those, they are viable strategies
use SC at the wrong time you could be dead
darkmoon = new moon really, not that big of a difference
acid cloud = scraping spear, so what, why don't you use it

"Viable strategy" is not the only thing that matters when we actually stream the tournament.

When players are very good, it is almost impossible to have a winner if you can always use second chance. We top it at 5 because we have had it go on for 10!. Acid cloud is a constant rather than a hit, so you can actually cover the entire spectrum and create problems for both the audience, the judge, and the opponent. Scraping spear is an attack, not a constant. (AC was voted out btw). Darkmoon grass is voided to encourage people to try use mercury and plague weapons. Having 1 grass that heals both diminishes the effect.

We used to ban a variety of weapons, to limit the recovery items, etc, to keep the fights shorter (as we do rounds)

I will limit Darkmoon, to the amount you get in the first game (don't have the number off the top of my head), it will keep the number decent, make it usable, but won't make it where you have an unlim supply

Acid cloud, is really just another cloud, easy to dodge and i have never been poisoned, plagued or had any serious durability, affect me by a cloud spell of any kind, I am allowing it for the sheer point of this tournament, A NO RESTRICTION TOURNAMENT, its easily dealt with, and if you hate it get it your self
i use poison and death cloud, which is way worse for sight

As for 2nd chance, it costs 100Mp, if casted it will most likely be stopped, and, i think it would b interesting to see someone barely get that SC in and avoid that nasty back stab, as a viewer, i prefer long battles over short ones…

Lastly, streaming o even recording the tournament may not be done, i lack the equipment and knowledge for something like that, if i can get someone who is willing to record and knows how to stream then sure, i will, i personally would prefer to have i as a straight on fight with no spectators, but, i would be just fine either way

I'm just mentioning what we do, and we have done plenty of tournaments. In our experience, that is what works.

I get what you are saying, but the point is a no restriction tournament, with the exception of Banish and AMF
this will provide a better out look on how most PvP goes
also, this is not formal and I don't want it to be, i want it to be a casual tournament with me and the wiki.
i will set those in a possible future tournament (end the summer with a bang?), i want to at least see one no restriction tourney

don't force those upon me like they are the law of DS PvP
also, im a stubborn 14 year old, what else would you expect but complaints XD

And really, the whole fight will consist of mage builds using acid cloud on each other, and then pulling out scraping spears, and then just playing with the poor sap who gets caught in it first.

What's the fun in that?

@Iklar its called strategy, and you know that you can use it also
if you are honorable (which im assuming most of you who are here are), will use a normal build making it a fun tournament for everyone

@Lightning_Count-, i will most likely ban banish, AMF i would like to test on everyone who joins, if they can all stay connected and not have too much lag, then it will be allowed, if not, i will ban it for the fact that it won't be fun to lose connection every 15 seconds (loss of connection will involve having to re-do it)
unlimited healing will make the battle a lot longer, or that much shorter, either way, expect a lot of BP Satsuki ninja healing with their seemingly unlimited amount of new moon grasses
I would be very grateful for your help on organizing times and getting it out a bit more, i lack a lot of experience in this stuff, and in the end am just a simple fan looking for some fun

edit: uber fail… again, sorry about that you two it should be the other way around with who the messages are are being sent towards, i really should get my eyes checked XD

The lag on AMF is completely arbitrary. Sometimes it does nothing, sometimes it disconnect people, and sometimes it looks like it does nothing, but then two minutes after you killed the invader and AMF has worn off, he backstabs you off a cliff.

OK, thanks, because when ever i used AMF, i never had lag to the point where random stuff happened, it all had some decency, like dodge roll but still get hit or back stab while i was running away, oh well, guess it won't be no restriction, it will just be a no banish or AMF
