They got the ring of Magical Sharpness……… But What about a ring of Phisical Beastness…….LOL terrible name I know but c'mon what about us strictly melee builds we wants a ring tooo….. Know what I mean???????????????
Eternal Warrior's Ring. It isn't a straight damage-boost, but it's very useful for melee builds.
LoLz……. i know but i am talking about a ring like the ring of magical sharpness or something equilavent to it….. there is always the whole morion blade clever rats ring but who wants to be at 30% health all the time as a melee build???? not me….. magical sharpness doesnt have that handicap…… oooooooohhhhhhhh so waht magic hurts you a bit more big deal haha I dunno i suppose im just ranting a bit…….
No vulgarity, thanks.

pointless ranting in my opinion, magic is easy to dodge if you have at least some skill
magic requires you up the mag stat, meaning less weapon choices, it also means you have a limited amount of powerful attacks
meanwhile str/dex builds can simply just prevent the casting at all by smashing them to the ground
every build has its ups and its downs you know
Remember this: What you may know, may or may not be true; and what is true, you may or may not want to know.
Magical Sharpness also reduces your ability to fend off magical attacks, which for a straight mage build can be a real detriment. If you are looking at this ring from a melee build then you of course don't get the handicap involved. And, the clever rat's ring, morion blade is comparable since you are reducing a quality and having its opposite intensified in much the same way the ring of Magical Sharpness acts. Ok, not all enemies inflict magic damage, but not all characters inflict straight physical damage. And most armor that a melee build can wear is far better at protecting against physical damage than most mage "armor" is against magic. The equals here might be a dark silver shield and I think the Brushwood shield.
That being said maybe it is appropriate to have a ring that decreases your vitality temporarily and increases your attack power for that time, but that might be too nasty. And those that often use the Clever Rat's Ring and/or Morion Blade do it temporarily for special situations. Mages take the chance all the time that physical attacks will overpower them easily. Melee builds can almost always more easily counter these more prevalent kinds of attacks. The magic power increase is only +20% whereas for the Clever Rat's Ring the attack power increase is +50%.
As Nintendoblivion said every build has its ups and downs.
What about all the weapon buffs and spells to increase damage? You get the best of both worlds, you can have your increased damage and not even sacrifice a ring slot. I have run into very few players with devastating magic, Although there are a few on this wiki it seems to me that the odds are against all but the very experienced magic users.
Again, the "no vulgarity rule" is in effect.
Also, what everybody else said pretty much sums things up: Magic builds are flawed, and none are perfect.

We are all going to be banned pretty soon. We have been bad tonight. We will be sent to the 6th archstone, left in a wasteland filled with giants and fog, or just giant fog, never to be heard from again. At least not until our next post.
And blackshadow, that's exactly the point. Most mages I have seen are very weak in regard to physical defenses simply because they have not put stats into that. A quick melee build can easily avoid most magic attacks no matter how strong the magic is, and the stronger magic attacks really leave the mage defenseless and can be interrupted. A good strength/dex build it seems to me has almost the best of both worlds in that they can use good ranged attacks as well as good melee attacks and generally have more defense ability.
Point taken, that said though OP suggests another item to help melee builds with attack power. I whole heartedly disagree with it for reasons I have stated above. If anything mages need aid not melee builds, although then the pro's would own all our builds, IMO this game is extremely balanced with a few exploits, though most players are honerable and give fair fights. This I think is what keeps us all coming back for more :) And we wouldn't want to mess that up. Like the old saying goes " don't fix what ain't broke". I don't see anything else worth contributing to this topic.
