I accidently hit the 2-1 vendor and she is pissed off at me now. I need to buy some shards from her. Is there any way to calm her down so she will stop attacking me and sell to me?
Yep, You will have to complete your current playthrough and reach "HIM" again in 2-1. It is unfortunate as it has happened to me before aswell. A tip for the future: If any NPC's ever go argo on you, hold the ps button and quit game. If your quick enough you can aviod the game saving after they turn aggressive. Other than that best of luck to you :(
I wouldn't try that, if you do that a bit much or even just once, it can compromise the PS3 memory and ruin it.

I don't believe that it has any affect on the actual memory at all. You are not interupting power to the console in any way. It may however affect your game save. Always keep a backup :) Flash drive or some external storage Is always a good Idea regardless( you never know whan your HD will crap out). I once bought a 160Gb "Sony" brand HD to upsize my PS3. Stupid thing was pooched after about 3 weeks so I put the original back in. Three years running strong LOL
I would definetly NEVER recommend in any way shape or form interupting power to the console EVER. There are electronic devices which store electrical charge, such as capacitors and inductors, when power is removed while the machine is operating these devices produce a "surge" effect which will often destroy other components. Electronic devices are extremely sensitive, Even a small static discharge from people handling them can destroy components. There are 2 major enemies to electronics, over voltage, and heat. Disconnecting power also will often corrupt save files and cannot be recovered. Take it from an electrician, don't ever mess with the power source. The multiple warnings on every game are there for a reason.
Yeah all I'm getting outta that is don't mess with the power of the PS3 and don't shut it off or yank the power cord during saving game or events and what not and your system should run like a charm. And agreed, if it says "don't turn off or disconnect power while saving" as a warning, don't do it or you will find out the hard way of why you shouldn't.
