Hi everybody,

is there anybody who knows how the so called push lock escape works?
It seems it is known to some peolpe but for reasons unknown to me, they dont share their knowledge.
It was said something about further testing but I dont see the point in it.

If you know it, tell us!
I dont want to know how to make a running firestorm but a possibility to counter a till now broken tactic.
Otherwise I dont see the point in a community at all, so jump off your elitist horse.

There is a possible tactic listed in the 7th post, which is not tested by myself but I trust the player, which gave me this advice

Hi again,

I just got an advice from an experienced player. As I have not tested it yet, no guarantee..

**one of the moves to scape the Katana shove combo is using a large shield, when you see the guy running to attack you, use the shield bash, than, the guy will hit once or twice, and get stunned himself, and you can just run out of his range or attack (but you need a fast weapon, since left-hand katana hit is the fastest) :] it might work with other stun-locks(BBS, Guillo-axe) too, didnt tested.

My advice if you dont use shields at all (like me), roll forward =] in this game, NEVER roll back, maybe roll to left or right, the best direction to roll is always forward (seriously)**

In my experience, rolling forward to avoid a pushlock has no benificial effect. The push will stun you in mid-roll and they can usually get of a swing or two anyways, You may escape the whole combo but generally they will trap you in it anyways. I find to keep your distance as the further you are away, the easier to get out of it. Other than that I usually roll frantically to the sides to try and get out. I still get trapped a fair bit, but not as much as I used to. For alot of other weapons though rolling forward is a very good idea. Rolling through a meat cleaver or dbs and getting off a good backstab is an excellent strategy For katana's kill them before they kill you, Scraping spear is a pushlocker's worst enemy.

For the record, you've played against me and know how good I am at evading and escaping all kinds of comboes and stunlock, and if you had've tried to pushlock me you would have seen the pushlock escape in action, so you can at least partially vouch for me being an honourable player and not the sort to try and deliberately aggravate people by hinting at a method and then not publishing it.
You can also, from my ranting at you because of that blue, tell I'm the kind of guy who believes things should be done properly xD.

Rolling forward is always a good idea, but against an experienced player who is equally fast it won't save you against any stunlocking weapon combo, let alone the pushlock due to the wide swinging arc of an offhand Uchi.
The shield bash method is essentially the same as hitting them with ANY weapon at the same time as they begin to pushlock you and hoping the lag makes them flinch, and it's technically a counter to the lock rather than a method of escape.

Metrichmemba, I can claim the discovery of the lock escape, so any criticism you have of the information on how to do it not being released yet to the general community should be levelled at me. Lightning_Count- also knows how to do it, and found it out for himself independent of me without any help, I just beat him to it by a couple of weeks. The reason the two of us haven't told everyone yet is because (and this is the opinion agreed upon with the few people we did explain how to do it to) it is very difficult to do, and can be quite situational. This means that there is every chance the info will go up, people will try it and it won't work for them unless we can perfect the method to a reasonable degree of success. Personally it has been working well for me, and we did manage to teach it to someone who then employed it successfully against some experienced players, meaning there is hope that we will be able to give you all comprehensive instructions on how to do it soon.
I would rather have people annoyed at me for taking my time with it than have people annoyed at me for posting a half-assed method, and trust me, I can't WAIT to tell you all how to do it, not just so I can contribute something lasting to the community but also because I seriously HATE pushlockers, and go out of my way to hunt them down and red eye duel them until they stop laying it.

I learned the pushlock escape from somebody else. I'm not sure if they learned it from you/LC, or if they discovered it on their own.
The only reason I haven't shared it yet is because the person who taught me doesn't want it being shared.

The method that I know is not very reliable, and I'll usually get hit by most of the attacks anyways. I think if I used a shield in conjunction with it, though
it would work much better. I'll have to look into it some more myself, but I'd also like to talk to you about it on PSN is possible, to see if its the same
method, and to see how you've advanced it, if possible.

Certainly, as far as LC and I are aware only two other people know our method and are entirely sworn to secrecy and wouldn't give it away, so this should be interesting. I'd definately like to get together and compare notes, as it were.
I've been doing this for several months now, and I discovered it without help and documented it privately way back at Christmas, so there is every chance of another independent discovery of an alternative or variated method.
If their/your method is different then out of respect we won't disclose it, if you wish.

AWWW a special teams unit trying to find a new way to add in pvp how cute gogogogo :p lol hope you guys do post it soon although i think it would be better if you did tell everyone so that they can try and perfect it themselves because better hundreds trying to make it better than 4 but hey just my opinion. Well, the method Saturday was referring to isn't the same as ours, so it looks like it's just LC and I xD.
I understand your logic, but we'd rather not give you all a half-assed trick that about 1 in 5 people will be able to do and be called liars.
We want to make sure it works for everyone.

Ok i got you btw when you guys do learn how maybe it would be possable to do some kind of youtube and be posted here the link lol so that we can see how it is done if possable that would be very helpful as well

That's the kind of thing we're talking about trying to have prepared before we release it, so everyone can see how it's done without us having to take people and teach them one by one.
I'm in the middle of (or rather starting in about 14 hours) the most important exams of my life to date, so I can't guarantee it'll be soon and for that I apologise profusely.

It's a pity it didn't work on me very well the last time we fought then, although I will credit you for beating me fair and square and with an excellent backstab in the mix.
I was glad to have the chance to test it out against a pro pushlocker, made me more certain in the course of testing it and releasing it to everyone.
